President Obama Has Lost His Way
Should African Origin or American Citizenship Define Political Position?
Buckle up. This is going to be a very rough ride. President Obama’s decision to invade Libya has put him in direct opposition of the African Union. Although the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), The Arab League under the auspices of the United Nations (UN) Resolution 1973 have given themselves authority to invade a sovereign country it raises the question for Obama as a black man just who is he really. It not only raises it for President Obama but the question is also raised for black people around the world, especially in America, just who are we really. In raising this question I am pushing the envelope and the tension between national citizenship and our loyalty to the continent of our origin. Are y’all buckled up??
The same question that the soldiers in Egypt had to ask themselves is the same question that is in front of people of African descent. The soldiers in Egypt decided that they were not going to carry out President Mubarak’s order to shoot their own people. We must understand that President Obama with his so-called coalition is now shooting, bombing, maiming and killing African people. Do we as people of African descent support the killing of our own people????? I say the answer to that question is a resounding NOOOOO!! We should not let our American citizenship cause us to support the killing of our ancestors. It makes no difference that the President has given the order to do so. We should resist the order. President Obama has lost his way. He’s caught up with being an American and has bought into this madness so deep that he is willing to kill his people.
Locally, here in Indianapolis black police officers have the same dilemma. A black police officer went into Brandon Johnson’s mother’s home under an illegal warrant. How do black officers support the beating of an innocent young black youth, and also support the invasion of his mother’s home where an innocent 13 year old black girl is violated while in the bathroom? Is membership on the police force causing black police officers to justify the unjust treatment of their people?
Black people: THIS MADNES HAS GOT TO STOP WHETHER LOCAL OR INTERNATIONAL!! My position is that the chains that are controlling our minds to support actions that are detrimental to our very existence is Christianity. The Bible tells us to seek and ye shall find. In my search for truth this is the truth that I have found!!
I know this is tough to take but we must deal with the truth. The authority is not the truth. The truth is the authority. The truth will set us free. You must listen to the March 25, 2011 broadcast of Ajabu Unleashed. Here is the link. It lays out the research to prove what I am writing. Don't run from it!! RUN TO IT!!
|
They are using a distortion of our original religion to make us accept mental slavery and participate in our own physical demise!! We must stop it. We must find our way. I have accepted the charge to sound the bell of alarm. Do not let your American, French, Italian, etc. citizenship confuse you into supporting the bombing, maiming, and killing of your ancestors. Just because you may dislike the way that Khadaffi is running Libya don't let this western psychological assault persuade you to agree with the killing of your ancestors. Don’t do it!!
The African Union has come out in opposition of the bombing of Libya. In fact, they have offered to send five Presidents to go to Khadaffi and negotiate a cease fire. We must listen to the A.U. We also must strengthen the A.U. so its word is the authority on the African continent. The best way to strengthen the A.U. is for it to morph into the United States of Africa with a central govermnent that sets policy and defends the totality of Africa. Kwame Nkrumah told us to unite back in the 1960's. Khadaffi was very instrumental in being the change agent that pushed to bring into existence the Organization of African Unity which morphed into the African Union, which now needs to arise as the United States of Africa. Africa must consolidate is strength into one cohesive body that speaks for all of Africa. Khadaffi has indicated he is willing to sit down with the A.U. and see about coming to terms. Instead of America and its western and Arab allies getting out of the way so Africans can solve Africa’s issues America and its western allies continue to bomb and kill African people. This is why Africa must have a central government. A central government of the United States of Africa will have the strength to impose its will on the totality of Africa. Where we now lack the military strength with a United States of Africa we would have the economical strength to bring the world to its knees, let alone a puny western coalition. People of African descent around the world must girdle up and start preparing for a fight. We can sit idly by and let these diabolical white folks headed by a Negro that has lost his way invade the African continent and kill our ancestors. Enough is enough!! In fact, this is too much!!
They have stuck President Obama at the front of this diabolical behavior thinking that his black face will calm black people into supporting the killing of our ancestors. I am uncovering this clandestine initiative and how they mean to carry it out. African people must take on a position as the Egyptian soldiers took. Just like the soldiers would not fire on there mothers, brothers, and sisters, we cannot support President Obama and his coalition in their killing of our ancestors. Egyptian soldiers show love for Egyptian people because that is the African way. Egypt is in Africa!! Many of the conservative talking heads are surprised that Obama has taken the stance he has taken. They know he has decided to go along with the killing of our and his own people. They did not begin to imagine that Obama wanted to be around white folks so much that he was willing to accept the killing of his own folks so white folks would be comfortable with him being President and sitting in the white people's house. People of African descent have to support the African Union and reject the position of President Obama. I am speaking to people of African descent around the world. Our national citizenships should not make us turn our back on the motherland, our dear Africa and her people. Whether we are in Gary or Germany, New York or New Zealand, Seattle or Spain, Indianapolis or India, no matter where we find ourselves globally we still are people of African descent and our loyalty should always be to our motherland. I am talking about mother Africa. We must fight for her where ever we are!! UP YOU MIGHTY RACE. ACCOMPLISH WHAT YOU WILL!! Thanks you for listening to AjabuSpeaks.

I do not support the invasion of any sovereign African nation by the west or its allies. The U.S. and its allies have either directly or indirectly be responsible for most of the conflicts in Africa since at least 1950. Furthermore, this ev...ent is politically motivated from the point of view of the West. Some analyst argue that the conflicts occurring (now speaking in terms of Libya) are media manipulated events in order to trump a scenario to use it to sway the opinion of people to support an imperialist attack. Additionally, they argue that Mubarrak was a puppet but still too independent and Qaddafi too rebellious. Some say that it is an attempt to further control more oil reserves. However, I think that this is a systemic event continued and sustained under the Obama administration with directives from Zibnew Brezinski and others, to gain deeper control over land, and material resources and a political move to weaken China and Russia positioning in Africa (Africa represents the citadel of world resources) People get very sensitive about Obama, particularly black people. But it is not about personalities under the Presidency of the U.S. That job is under the executive branch of government and as a function of that carries out orders. The President of the U.S. operates under the control of the ruling class. Whatever race or sex that person is who chairs that seat functions as the auxiliary arm of the will of the ruling class. Within areas of the ruling class there are conflicts/disagreements. But they all agree on maintaining their power. The neo-Colonial situation for black people in the U.S. is distracting but the truth is being uncovered. Obama works for and supports the same people who kill non-combatant people in the name of some pseudo-democracy. The Democracy that does not exist the U.S. I support a united Africa one that will make decisions outside of its former colonial masters. As Marcus Garvey said Africa for Africans, those at home and those abroad."
He has not lost his way at all. He is doing exactly what his handlers, Zibniew Brzezinski, David Rockefeller, ETAL are telling him to do.
Rev Ajabu,
I believe he had lost his way long before this most recent caper. I don't know who he is...so sad. So many people let down.
Tim
Yep. And, Hilary KKKlinton and her merry band of lesbians are also his handlers and white mother figures.
President Obama lost his way when he foolishly accepted the lie of Black Liberation Theology. Have you lost your way?
JednaVira,
Please help me to understand the lie that Black Liberation Theology is telling.
You all are being lead by an ignorant blog author.
J.J.
People on this blog express their own thoughts. If they ask me to lead I would seriously consider the request.
All right that's your boy. He and Hillary are such hawks. I hate seeing them attack
Khaddafy when we all know he took good care of his people. They know how to lie to
justify a war with a leader like Khaddafy. They have destroyed Iraq when Saddam had it
all working well and there were no mass slaughters or weapons of mass destruction. Then
these idiots spend our tax dollare fixing the coutries back up after all of the senseless
bombing. They will go in and fix Libya and Egypt. How sick can this policy be.
Now Barack and Hillary are the perpetrators and this will come back to haunt both of
them. They really don't know the people who are fighting Khaddafy or the people who ran
Mubarak out. Now they have stirred up Syria. They are so eager to get rid of Assad but
they don't know who the replacements will be. We shall see.
In 2005 in the basement of the United States Capitol at a meeting convened by Congressman John Conyers on the subject of the "Downing Street Memo," Ray McGovern uttered the following truth: he testified that "the United States went to war in Iraq for oil, Israel, and military bases craved by administration neocons" so that "the United States and Israel could dominate that part of the world." McGovern went on to testify truthfully that "Israel is not allowed to be brought up in polite conversation. The last time I did this, the previous director of Central Intelligence called me anti-Semitic."
The routine condemnations of McGovern could be heard from all of the sources inside the U.S. political structure that has at its base finance from pro-Israel sources; that included from Dr. Howard Dean who was Chair of the Democratic National Committee at the time. This finance nexus has been thoroughly identified by Dr. James Petras, for those who want to do further reading.
Condemnations, however, do not disprove McGovern's statement, but point, instead, to the political untouchability of the topic. However, if one wants to truly understand the formulation of U.S. foreign and military policies, one must carefully consider McGovern's testimony.
On December 7, 1988 Mikhail Gorbachev described the need for a "universal human consensus" and he called that a new world order. And on September 11, 1990, President George Herbert Walker Bush characterized the crisis that led to his intervention in the Persian Gulf in Operation Desert Storm as an opportunity to move toward "a new world order." Every President since Bush, including President Obama, has expressed some fealty in one way or another to the idea of a "New World Order" which represents the ultimate goal of internationalizing rule by a few oligarchs and the dissolution, by every means available, of dissent. On March 19, 2011, exactly eight years after George W. Bush launched "Operation Iraqi Freedom," President Obama savagely bombed Libya.
One can begin to gain an understanding of exactly who these oligarchs are by investigating the financial winners in the oligarchization of the U.S. economy, in much the same way that the Russian oligarchs were created and eventually identified.
Israel was an important beneficiary of these economic operations and Israel has been an important beneficiary of certain U.S. military operations, exactly as McGovern testified.
The clear losers in this process are the people struggling globally for truth, justice, human rights, and peace. And there are clear and identifiable winners--if one dares to look.
Understanding who the winners are is necessary if one is to be able to decipher what they do and why. Therefore, it is necessary to understand that a new type of language has been adopted where war is peace, freedom is slavery, lies are truth, and ignorance is strength: we already know this as Orwell Speak. Our job is to pierce the intentional propagandistic obfuscations and expose the truth for those less aware of the modus operandus of the crafters of this new international order.
Nowhere should McGovern's testimony be weighed more than in the context of the US-led "Global War on Terror," the more recent "revolutions" of North Africa and West Asia, and more specifically for this paper, events unfolding in Libya.
Initially, the U.S. effort against Qaddafi's Administration in Libya was termed a "humanitarian intervention" to protect the people. But, when since September 11, 1990 have U.S. troops been mobilized to innocently rescue civilians in danger? In reality, the U.S. military has been selectively called into action to cause civilian pain, suffering, destruction, and death since September 11, 1990 and to further unstated objectives.
The U.S. military was not called into action after its ally, Paul Kagame, oversaw the murder of two democratically elected Presidents, when their plane was shot from the air by a U.S. missile left over from Operation Desert Storm that found its way to Uganda and from Uganda into Kagame's possession. The murder of the two sitting Presidents by way of shooting down their plane was an act of terror.
In the human conflagration that followed, the tragedy that has become known as the Rwandan Genocide, 100,000 innocent civilians were murdered every day for the next 100 days while the Clinton Administration, National Security Council Advisor Susan Rice, nor United Nations Ambassador Madeleine Albright did anything to provide humanitarian intervention because regime change was the accepted policy and if it meant the deaths of one million Africans, then so be it.
The Clinton Administration women who justified this non-intervention, later had an opportunity to stop the carnage in Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ivory Coast since 2000, Sudan and they did nothing because what was happening in those areas, despite the tremendous human toll, was consistent with unstated U.S. policy.
Today, the Obama Administration is responsible for its own war crimes, torture, crimes against humanity, and crimes against the peace and defends in U.S. Courts those from the Bush Administration who bear responsibility for having approved or justified them in the past. Yet, this Administration will not even agree to investigate the violation of Mumia Abu Jamal's civil rights in his first trial rife with racial innuendo, judicial misconduct, and a lack of evidence. Or in the case of Troy Davis where seven of nine witnesses recanted their testimonies and cited prosecutorial misconduct. But it did go to court to defend military commissions and insulted Native Americans in the process!
In addition, what the United States is responsible for in Afghanistan and Pakistan just since President Obama came to office is unthinkable and is despicable. And U.S. taxpayers continue to foot the financial and moral bill for the continued subjugation of Palestine, especially the people of Gaza who are still being bombarded by Israeli warplanes, all made possible by every one of us that pays taxes. And let us not forget this Administration's efforts to quash the Goldstone Report (the United Nations Report on Israel's Operation Cast Lead against Gaza) and criticism of Israel after nine Turkish citizens attempting to take humanitarian supplies to Gaza were brazenly murdered by Israeli forces attacking the humanitarian aid ship, Mavi Marmara.
But, amazingly, when the Obama Administration puts the U.S. war machine in action in a new front in Africa and characterizes it as a "humanitarian intervention," the peace community seemingly accepts the obfuscation and forgets the facts.
But the peace community knows full well that the Obama Administration is continuing the longterm U.S. policies of dismemberment, Balkanization, carefully crafted chaos, and death and destruction to achieve its unstated objectives. Every possibility of dissent is being obliterated--for a reason. The FBI raids in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and elsewhere targeting activists who support peace and the human rights of Palestinians is no accident. Politically-motivated prosecutions of politically active Palestinians came first, from Sami Al-Arian and his brother-in-law to the Holy Land Five. These raids, combined with the Administration's unstated military objectives, undergird the economic transformation to which this Administration is fully committed. That is why the average taxpayer pays more taxes than General Electric or Bank of America, but shouldn't expect any kind of bailout from this Administration.
Now, let's explore Libya with respect to McGovern's remark. Oil: well Libya's got lots of it: the most on the African Continent. Israel: Preparing Israel to make "a clean break" from the past and establish a new relationship with the U.S. based on "maturity," by "securing the realm" as written by the Project for a New American Century Study Group on "A New Israeli Strategy Toward 2000" with Richard Perle as its leader. This should be seen as the operative strategy defining events in the region: "Israel--proud, wealthy, solid, and strong" can "shape its strategic environment." France can be seen as an additional proxy for Israel in this action; France which announced that it was taking the lead in the anti-Qaddafi operation, is led by Nicholas Sarkozy whom the French media, Le Figaro newspaper, identified after his election as a Mossad asset. 99% of the population of Libya is Muslim. As long as Muslims are fighting each other they won't have time to focus on Israel or Palestine; And as for logistics, AFRICOM, the United States military's Africa Command, was not created for nothing: it was created to deepen the U.S. military presence and control over a Continent rich in land, water, strategic minerals, former preserve of U.S. allies and now facing aggressive penetration by China. Situated on the Mediterranean littoral, with oil money, and a revolutionary leader, I need not say much more about Libya and logistics useful for neocon objectives.
The reason Muammar Qaddafi is a target is because he has been a thorn in the side of anti-revolutionary forces since he took power in Libya, overthrowing the King and nationalizing the oil industry so that the people could benefit from their oil resources.
Libya's Revolution brought free health care and education to the people and subsidized housing. In fact, students in Libya can study there or abroad and the government gives them a monthly stipend while they are in school and they pay no tuition. If a Libyan needs a surgery that must be done overseas, then the government will pay for that surgery. That is more than the soldiers of the United States military can say. While Libyans enjoy subsidized housing, members of the U.S. military risk foreclosure while they serve their country abroad. Money from oil is directly deposited into the accounts of every Libyan based on oil income. As one Libyan told me recently, the idea is that if people have what they need, then they don't have to deny rights to or harm others and the Revolution believes that it is the responsibility of the government to provide the basic needs of its citizens.
Now, as for democracy, a country that has never practiced it is a poor trumpet for it. From genocide of indigenous Americans to enslavement of stolen Africans to disfranchisement of women, ours has been a less than perfect union. Now, it has turned the administration of its elections over to private voting machine companies and the finance of those elections to individuals and organizations that can mobilize vast sums of money; thus the United States is not in the best best position to dictate the terms of another country's democracy. But, Libyans govern themselves by The Green Book, a form of direct democracy based on the African Constitution concept that the people are the first and final source of all power. Clearly, the U.S. move is counter-Revolution.
In addition, I remember watching the proceedings of the House of Commons on television about ten years ago and I was shocked by what I was hearing: a member of Parliament saying that the evidence was actually planted by the U.S. C.I.A.! So, I searched for the article and there it was. A Member of Parliament had done his own investigation and discovered to his satisfaction that "the [timing] device was a C.I.A. plant." Kind of like the investigation I did, myself, to conclude that the Bush Administration was not telling us the truth about September 11th.
There is so much more on this to write. But I will leave that for another article. Let me just add this: Earl Hilliard was kicked out of Congress in 2002 by the pro-Israel Lobby because he was getting close to Libya and would learn some of the secrets that have not yet been revealed. What business was it of Israel and their U.S. supporters that an African American Member of Congress was reaching out to an African leader who has always been supportive of Black liberation in the United States?
Muammar Qaddafi's daughter was murdered by U.S. bombs targeting him. I have visited the compound. Unfortunately, it has since been revealed by Victor Ostrovsky, a Mossad defector living in Canada, that the bombing took place as a result of faked intelligence and that Qaddafi was set up by Israel in Operation Trojan, that wanted him targeted. According to Ostrovsky, Ronald Reagan was tricked into bombing Libya by means of a "radio transmitter smuggled into Tripoli by the Mossad, which broadcast messages designed to fool the United States into thinking Libya was about to launch a massive terror attack on the West. On the basis of this bogus evidence, the US bombed Libya, killing Gaddafi's daughter." I have met with former members of MI-5 who were tasked with assassinating Qaddafi and refused.
At any rate, I must put this on the record, too. Muammar Qaddafi has long been a friend to African people. Pan-Africanists have travelled to and from Libya since the beginning of Qaddafi’s role as Libya’s leader, including Black Panther Party, Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, All-African People's Revolutionary Party, and Nation of Islam members. I once defended Nation Of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan in the House International Relations Committee when the late Tom Lantos--on behalf of Israel--challenged The Nation's relationship with Libya and wanted to dash Qaddafi's desire to give The Nation several billion dollars to help Black people.
Unfortunately, in an effort of goodwill, Mr. Gaddafi on at least one occasion, was also prepared to assist those who presented themselves as servants of the people but in fact were not: the Blackstone Rangers in Chicago. More importantly, hundreds of unnamed Black Americans have made the sojourn to Libya – all striving for the unification of Africans in Africa and the Diaspora. Black people who would have not otherwise ever connected with one another have been able to do so for more than forty years because of the
educational and cultural conferences that Qaddafi has sponsored. The only requirement for participation was that they be willing to commit to work towards the ongoing development of Africa--all of Africa and wherever Africans are. Mr. Qaddafi to this day continues to assist Black political organizations in an effort to keep people of African descent able to exercise their right of self-determination.
Meanwhile, on the Continent, Africans not ready to kowtow to France, the United States, or other former colonial powers maintain their independence thanks to Qaddafi, the former head of the African Union. Qaddafi was named African Leader of the Year in 2009. Qaddafi provided the African National Congress and Nelson Mandela the wherewithal to defeat apartheid in South Africa. In short, if you want to stop Black people, then one key move is to stop Colonel Qaddafi.
Finally, I have led two delegations to Tripoli. Among those I took with me are KPFK's Dedon Kamathi, Black Agenda Report's Glen Ford, WBAIX.com's Don Debar, WayneMadsenReport.com's Wayne Madsen, National Hip Hop Political Caucus's Troy Nkrumah, Block Report's Minister of Information J.R. Valrey, Bob Fitrakis of FreePress.org, Keith Harmon Snow of allthingspass.com, and Malcolm Shabazz, the grandson of Malcolm X. Chicago's Pat Hill traveled with me twice and is in regular contact with people on the ground in Libya. You have heard them giving their impressions of what they saw and what they know on radio, television, and the internet. The information I have included in this article is public information. Therefore, I am amazed that activist "leaders" who ought to know better accept special interest propaganda as the truth and then knowingly or unwittingly become tools of the disinformation artists. Responsible news outlets will search for those who know. I ask the readers of this article to trust no one who is merely a talking head, search for those who have experience and a track record for telling not a part of the truth, bu the whole truth, and then finally do your own research and learn more about your government. And maybe, finally, then candidates who don't deserve our votes won't get them.
In conclusion, the United States, France, and Britain together have killed hundreds of thousands of civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan and their collective wars elsewhere without any punishment or any action from the U.N. Their action in Libya is illegal and Libya should launch a legal action in the International Court of Justice to obtain an injunction against this military action and I know just the right team of unbought international lawyers to do it. The claim that military actions against Libya protect civilians is a mockery and Presidents Obama and Sarkozy and Prime Minister Cameron should be called on it.
Interestingly, the National Front for the Salvation of Libya held its most recent meeting in the United States in July 2007. However, Libyans should be able to solve their own problems without foreign interference. Venezuela President Hugo Chavez has put forward a mediation proposal which I have endorsed. In addition, the Hugo Chavez International Foundation for Peace, Friendship and Solidarity released a communiqué stating that the "Arab League endorsements of Al-Qaida terrorism in Libya, [the U.S./NATO minus Germany and Turkey, plus the United Arab Emirates allies] is a racially-motivated hatred since the obnoxious slave trade centuries back." The communiqué continues that opening contacts with terrorists amounts to nothing less than promoting international terrorism and characterizes the Arab League move as both anti-African and anti-Black. The Hugo Chavez Foundation communiqué concludes: Long live Muammar Al-Qathafi! Long live the African Union! Long live Pan-Africanism! Solidarity with Blacks everywhere!
The basis of Black Liberation Theology is the belief that his salvation is dependant on the collective salvation of everyone else. Furthermore, this theology is based in Marxism and believes that until the white man give back what he took from the black man, he cannot be saved. It assumes that whites are evil. It's a lie. That is a very brief synopsis of Black Liberation Theology. If you don't believe me, then research it, look at the foundation of it and contrast it against the scriptures. It's a lie and false teaching.
JenaVira
I don't know where you got that from. If you research the Interdenominational Theological Center you will find that Black Liberation Theology is the foundation from which the seminary teaches. I have a Masters of Divinity from that seminary. I have never been taught what you wrote. Please do not make up things about that which you know not. It is not what Jesus would have you to do.
JednaVira,
I don't know where you got the words that you have written. I am a graduate of the Interdenominational Theological Center. The basis of the seminary is black liberation theology. I have a Masters of Divinity degree from ITC and never have I learned, or was taught what your words state. I would humbly suggest that you not speak about that which you know not. It is not what Jesus would have you to do.
ITC Mission Statement: The Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) is a consortium of denominational seminaries whose mission is to educate Christian leaders for ministry and service in the Church and the global community. The ITC educates and nurtures women and men who commit to and practice a liberating and transforming spirituality; academic discipline; religious, gender, and cultural diversity; and justice and peace.
Mr. Ajabu, I am glad that you think the Interdemoninational Theological Center didn't teach you what I wrote. What I wrote is fact, and can be learned by reading any of Rev. James Cone's books or articles, or listening to his interviews. Is he not the recognized founder of Black Liberation Theology? Historians also agree that he borrowed this "theology" from Marxists in Central America. I consider myself pretty grounded in basic theology, and Marxism is very much anti-God; not to mention the principles of forced "wealth redistribution" is not scriptural.
You claim that your theology teaches about justice and peace, and yet you call for citizens to resist the police while being arrested, even to the point of death. Your theology teaches "gender and cultural" diversity; what if that culture is destructive and anti-Biblical?
Unfortunately, you are a very confused man that has been taught a lie and believed it. This lie has been disguised in a veil of "justice and peace," but is nothing more than a far-left "snow job." Rev. James Cone is no more a Christian than Jeremiah Wright.
NPR.org: "In an interview with Terry Gross, Cone explains the movement, which has roots in 1960s civil-rights activism..." Cone explains that "the Christian faith does not possess in its nature the means for analyzing the structure of capitalism. Marxism as a tool of social analysis can disclose the gap between appearance and reality, and thereby help Christians to see how things really are."
My theology comes from scripture, and the teaching of Christ, NOT from a 1960's activism and Karl Marx!
You would have us believe "blackness" is such an important factor in faith. The Bible teaches us that there are only 2 races of people on this plant: the SAVED and the UNSAVED! Black Liberatin Theology encourages the victim mentality among the black culture, and does far more harm than good. Economic parity, which is an important focus of Black Liberation Theology, is not found anywhere in the scripture; nor does Jesus ever concern himself with this issue.
JenaVira,
My sister, you are not well informed. I have and studied just about all, if not all of James Cones writings. I don't recall him using Marx to analyze Christianity. Please site your reference.
You left out a word when I teach to resist "illegal" arrest. "Illegal" makes a big difference. If one resists an "illegal" arrest then they are well within the law. Please do not confuse people on what I teach. To do so makes it hard for people to believe your integrity is intact.
Now it is true that you are confusing me. I am not sure why you want to make me say something that I didn't say. If you want to make me controversial, all you got to do is tell the truth about what I said. The truth in this world, unfortunately, is controversial enough.
Blackness is an important factor in Black people's identity. I wish Barack Obama had more blackness in his identity so he would not bomb the land of his father's birth. Could see and Irishman bombing Ireland, or a German bombing Germany. No matter what your faith you don't bomb, kill and maim your ancestors.
Ajabu,
I referenced where I found that quote; An interview with NPR's Terry Gross, which is not known for its right-winged politics. However, it's quite clear you don't have the capacity for discerning truth. If you have read any of Cone's writings and haven't heard him speak about Marxism then you cannot read very well.
Furthermore, when I referenced your stance on resisting "illegal" arrests, I didn't use the word "illegal" because I know your definition of "illegal" is far different from state statute. What did Jesus instruct Peter to do when he attempted to resist the "illegal arrest" from government authorities? "No more of this!"
Re-Read Romans 13:1-3: "Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring JUDGEMENT on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you."
Maybe those scriptures aren't in your Black Liberation Theology Bible.
JednaVira,
Give the link to your reference. A reference is no good if it cannot be obtained. And if you have read Cone and found him referring to Marxism then why won't you document your reference. Otherwise, your point is mute.
It is interesting that you reference Peter's cutting off the Roman soldier's ear when the Romans came to arrest Jesus. Have you ever ask yourself why Peter had the sword in the first place? Would you not be surprised that it was Jesus himself that instructed the disciples, at the last supper I might add, that if they didn't have a sword to go get one!! You are such a scholar of Black Liberation Theology and it don't look like you know your own Bible.
The authorities that exist have not been established by God!! Where did you get that from? God did not ordain President Obama to invade Libya. For Obama to invade the land of his father's birth is like George W. Bush invading Texas. Or an Irishman invading Ireland. Or American's in the National Guard shooting other Americans just because they are following orders from authority!! That authority is not God ordained!! Your position is so weak and based on your belief which is not verified by scripture. I pray that you quit misleading good people in your attempt to sustain the fallacy of white supremacy. White supremacy is dead, and if America tries to sustain it, then it will die too. Wake up JednaVira, or we're all through!!!
Ajabu-
It's warming up outside, and the thugs are starting their robbing, stealing, and assaulting sprees again. I was just meeting with a group of over 40 new "Theologians", and we have some "theology" we'd like to share with some of you're thug followers...it comes in several different diameters and can effectively deliver "salvation" to these misguided thugs who terrorize us, and threaten our community, and decide they "want to get into sumpthin'".
Would you help us spread the "word" for the sake and safety of law-abiding citizens of Marion County?
We are hoping for a "record" year, in "salvations".
Jayson

Reverend
I can't believe the request that Jayson made. He has cleaned up his language and he sounds a little intelligent. You responded so kindly to his remarks. I know that I have been away from the blog for a while but goodness what a transformation of Jayson.
On Obama having lost his way, I must say that every time I think the Republicans have punked him out, he comes up a winner. I read where the Republicans held the country hostage in their deal with Obama and Reid for $35 billion. The report says that the Republicans will only get $300 million. It has something to do with policies about reserved funds in all of those agencies that Boehner and Cantor wanted to cut. So again, Obama has led these idiots to another slaughter.
If you recall, Obama gave up on extending the Bush tax cuts for the rich but he got over on them with other agreements like an extension of the unemployment benefits and other items.
So, I have stopped second guessing Obama when it comes to his negotiating skills with Republicans. What it proves is that Republicans are the dumbest Party and they still have not had a great run whenever they have been in control of Congress and the Presidency.
Jayson doesn't like this but you cannot show one time since the disastrous days of Herbert Hoover and his Great Depression, that a Republican administration and control of Congress ever made advancements for America. They have never been successful as leaders of this nation. They are ignorant and they cannot govern.
The last time we had a successful run as president was Bill Clinton. He created 22 million jobs and left Bush with a huge surplus. But White people still didn't believe fire burns and put in George Bush II and the rest is history.
Even in only two years Obama has raised the economy above zero on the chart. It was subzero during the entire Bush 8 years. Then these ignorant White voters gave the Republicans the majority in the House and look at the stupid bills they have come up withl
That retarded looking Paul Ryan has unashamedly produced a bill to get rid of Medicaid and Medicare. Is he retarded for real? The Tea Party faction is so anxious and eager to block raising the Debt Limit. They didn't want the $35billion they thought they were getting in the budget fight, instead, these sicko's wanted $100 billion in cuts on the poor and the middle class.
I guarantee you those silly White folks have finally realized that the Republican fire truly burns. Now, the rich corporations and millionaires don't have a thing to worry about because the Republicans are their boys. The Republicans will cut the throats of every body but the rich whenever they get power in America.
So Jayson, get ready to bleed until we take back the House of Representatives and hold on to the Senate and reelect our President Barack Obama who happens to be Black.
Good to be back, looking forward to battling with anybody who wants to take me on.
marshall
Marshall,
Welcome back. Although I agree with you and President Obama and will support him I am in direct opposition to his policy on Libya. On that one, he has truly lost his way.
Hey Dr Marshall Fattarse-
While you were out recovering from fat-suction surgery, they obvious filled -up the suction containers with lard from your gut and neglected to suck the hemorroid off your brain! LOL!
Last I checked Ryan's plan (the only one as the Stupid Blacks like yourself and the Libs don't have one) gives Medicare and Medicaid back to the States. Why would you be against that...unless you're a f-ing moron. LOL!
Hey I did see where Jesse Dumbfuk Jr. wants to ban Ipads! What a dumba$$!!!!!
Hey- Ajabu FYI, I know many "Theologians" who live in "The Neighborhood" now...today, ...probably next door to your ratty house...I know one who already delivered some salvation a few weeks ago, I am sure you will have a busy funeral schedule this summer...;)
Ready to deliver "Salvation" to those who need it.
:)
Jayson
Jayson,
Come on down. We would love to greet ya!!

[http://cdn.soulpreaching.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/749px-Homeless_Man.jpg]Early in his legendary "I Have A Dream" speech, Martin Luther King, Jr. assessed the unhappy situation of black Americans, a century after their emancipation. It is the darkest passage in a speech blazing with radiant imagery and uplifting messages of hope:
One hundred years later, the Negro still is not free. One hundred years later, the life of the Negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination. One hundred years later, the Negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. One hundred years later, the Negro is still languished in the corners of American society and finds himself an exile in his own land. And so we've come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.
The better part of five decades has passed since that speech was delivered, the Civil Rights Act was signed, and Lyndon Johnson's Great Society was engineered. Sadly, Dr. King's diagnosis could be pronounced again today, with only a few minor changes.
That lonely island of poverty is still there, lost in the tides of material prosperity. The unemployment rate for black Americans is almost ninety percent higher than for whites, whose have it bad enough in today's jobless economy. The Census Bureau reports the average per capita income of blacks to be only $18,000 per year, compared to over $30,000 for whites. The rate of home ownership is about 20% lower for blacks, while they own a mere 5% of small businesses.
The corners of American society remain a place of exile. Black illegitimacy rates hover above 72%, which is more than triple the rate for whites or Asians... and more than triple what it was at the beginning of the Great Society era, when most black children were raised in two-parent households. Blacks represent about 13% of the American population, but account for 36% of all abortions. They suffer disproportionately from violent crime, with about half of all homicide victims being black. There are areas where the high school graduation rate for black males is well under 25%.
Most of these social and economic indicators have been getting worse, year after year, despite a vast amount of money and energy poured into the black community by liberal programs. Perhaps "despite" is not the right word... for much of black America's plight is caused by the Big Government programs intended to help them.
Blacks suffer much collateral damage from the collapse of urban America. Big cities have been wrecked by decades of liberal control. Cities like Detroit have been virtually destroyed as high taxes, stifling regulations, and public-union dominance killed businesses or drove them away. Black Americans have traditionally been concentrated in urban areas, ever since the Great Migration of the nineteenth century, although recent Census data suggests they are beginning to move away from dying blue-state cities. It's not hard to see why a population that tends to live in those cities would experience high rates of crime and unemployment.
The urban mindset, which looks for centralized solutions to big problems, does black America no favors... especially when combined with the toxin of generational welfare dependency. Every black American is born into a system which regards his or her life as a problem to be solved, rather than an opportunity to be explored.
Large populations tend to respond to social incentives and penalties. The Great Society subsidized a landscape of broken homes, in which the acid of an entitlement mentality dissolves ambition. This has done more damage to the black community than any diabolical plan hatched by dimwits in white sheets could possibly inflict. A black child of the Fifties faced a formidable enemy in racial discrimination... but a black child in today's America faces an even more relentless enemy when he looks at the empty seat where his father should be sitting.
The system of dependence and futility built around black Americans needs them to survive. It will not easily let them escape. Black children find themselves trapped in a failing public education system, which has vast amounts of money and political clout available to keep the doors chained shut. The District of Columbia Opportunity Scholarship voucher program for disadvantaged kids, which was shut down by the Obama Administration but may soon be re-authorized by Congress, enjoys 74% support from the community. That didn't stop Obama from killing it without any of his customary dithering or fanfare.
Black Americans have the misfortune to be one of the largest political collectives in the American electorate. The Democrat Party depends on collecting 85% or more of a substantial black turnout for its political survival. In order to keep these voters motivated and properly bundled, black leaders and white liberals sell a narrative of hopelessness. That is the only logical conclusion to draw, when told that getting through life is impossible without the maternal protection of a vast government. It's the end result of denying there can ever be a permanent triumph over racism, and even temporary victory is impossible for individuals. Only a desolate life could be shaped entirely by the hatred of others.
Hope flourishes in response to opportunity. A decade of rapidly expanding government has crushed opportunity beneath its bulk, and this is especially devastating to the fragile hopes of underprivileged minorities. The cost of labor has been artificially increased. Regulatory barriers have been placed before business formation. Investment capital has been made scarce. Even the dream of home ownership was cruelly perverted into a financial time bomb, which detonated when liberal ideology saddled eager minority homeowners with debts they could never repay.
The endless class warfare rhetoric of the Left teaches its clients to hate their own aspirations, and turn away in disgust from those they should be studying. No greater disservice has ever been done to the poor than convincing them to make enemies of the people who might wish to hire them. Replacing ambition with resentment is equivalent to handing a sledgehammer to a drowning man.
No deviation from liberal orthodoxy is allowed - the Left slanders no one as viciously as a black conservative. The clients of liberalism are reduced to making increasingly angry demands for diminishing increases in a bankrupt quest for "social justice." Unacceptable results are protected by making alternative solutions unthinkable. The result is a vicious cycle of political addiction. Liberalism is the new crack.
[http://www.fortliberty.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/allen-west.jpg]In his Lincoln-Douglass Dinner speech last month, black freshman Congressman Allen West (R-FL) summed up the situation: "It has been almost 50 years since President Lyndon Johnson's Great Society and many in the black community are still waiting. Many of the same problems of the 1960s remain today. For too long, the choice has been to give a handout instead of a hand-up. Liberal politicians continue the same old tired policies of dependence on big government - always the promise that government will solve your problems. We are indeed creating the Nanny States of America."
The answer is not a policy, but rather the elimination of policies that keep black Americans from finding their own answers. Like every other segment of the American population, they hold ideas beyond the imagination of central planners, and can find opportunities invisible to government bureaucrats. The sum of liberal race theory is the assertion that minorities cannot compete in a hostile, racist world. There was a day when systemic discrimination was an obstacle to competition... but it's time for us to break the cycle of political addiction by recognizing that day has passed.
There is, and will always be, racism in every society on Earth. Racists no longer have power in the United States. It is no longer necessary to deploy massive, intrusive, expensive government power to battle their phantom memory. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the other heroes of the civil rights movement were not just brave and determined, they were victorious. What service is rendered to the black community by denying their victory?
The policies that benefit black Americans are the same policies that benefit all Americans. The black middle class was growing rapidly before the current recession. Remove the barriers government has placed before business formation and growth, and the black middle class will resume its upward trajectory. What does any free man, of any color, need more than a decent job, offered and accepted willingly... or the chance to build a business that offers such jobs to other men?
Every subsidy is also an incentive, something liberals freely admit when they talk about the alleged social benefits of their favorite policies. If we remove the subsidies for promiscuous behavior and broken homes, we will eliminate a poisonous incentive that has done terrible harm to the intended beneficiaries. Name a social pathology, and rest assured it is worse among illegitimate children, especially in the inner city. Black America needs its fathers back.
Our public school system produces inferior educations at fantastic expense. It says minority children cannot be properly educated without even greater expense. It's long past time to let competitive private educators accept that challenge. The graduation rate for the D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program was 91%. That's thirty points higher than D.C. public schools could manage.
In a recent column, black conservative author and radio host Larry Elder pointed out that Ronald Reagan's much-vilified "tax cuts for the rich" and "trickle-down economics" cut the unemployment rate for blacks from 20% in 1982 down to 11% in 1989. Under Barack Obama, by contrast, the black unemployment rate is over 15%. The Reagan years also saw black-owned businesses grow by 38%, which was more than triple the robust growth for all American business. And yet, Reagan is smeared as a racist because he opposed affirmative action programs. Even those who believe in the necessity of those programs should be open-minded enough to concede that by doing the right thing for all Americans, Reagan's economic policies did a stunning amount of good for black workers and business owners.
The most revered moment in Martin Luther King's speech was his dream that his children would live in a nation where they would "not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." To be conservative is to have boundless faith in the content of their character... and the character of their fellow citizens. It is time to do away with policies that assume our character is corrupt. No one ever broke an addiction without faith.
I would like to applaud PA for the incredibly eloquent rejoinder. Reverend, I feel you are very misguided on many aspects of your own Theology. JednaVira did site the exact reference to her correct statement numerous tines, only to have you continually re-post that she had not. Maybe many of your readers are not educated enough to research statements and verify the validity of said statements and will take anything you post as "Gospel". You and I (and PA and JednaVira) know the truth!!!
