Trayvon and a history of gun rights

This is a must read. It is obvious from the latest developments that Florida is playing a long range con game that at its end will be the complete exoneration of George Zimmerman. I agree with Ann Coulter. There could not be a better reason... for people of African descent to arm ourselves. The exoneration of Zimmerman should put us all, especially males of African Descent, in a greater fear of the loss of our lives. The law gives us the right to stand our ground if someone puts us in that position. Trayvon was put in that position. Unfortunately he found himself in a gun fight with just skittles and tea. We should learn from this experience and not get caught so unprepared. Arm ourselves or harm ourselves. YOU READY??

Trayvon and a history of gun rights

by Ann Coulter

Liberals have leapt on the shooting death of Trayvon Martin in Florida to push for the repeal of "stand your ground" laws and to demand tighter gun control. (MSNBC'S Karen Finney blamed "the same people who stymied gun regulation at every point.")

This would be like demanding more funding for the General Services Administration after seeing how its employees blew taxpayer money on a party weekend in Las Vegas.

We don't know the facts yet, but let's assume the conclusion MSNBC is leaping to is accurate: George Zimmerman stalked a small black child and murdered him in cold blood, just because he was black.

If that were true, every black person in America should get a gun and join the National Rifle Association, America's oldest and most august civil rights organization.

Apparently this has occurred to no one because our excellent public education system ensures that no American under the age of 60 has the slightest notion of this country's history.

Gun control laws were originally promulgated by Democrats to keep guns out of the hands of blacks. This allowed the Democratic policy of slavery to proceed with fewer bumps and, after the Civil War, allowed the Democratic Ku Klux Klan to menace and murder black Americans with little resistance.

(Contrary to what illiterates believe, the KKK was an outgrowth of the Democratic Party, with overlapping membership rolls. The Klan was to the Democrats what the American Civil Liberties Union is today: Not every Democrat is an ACLU'er, but every ACLU'er is a Democrat. Same with the Klan.)

In 1640, the very first gun control law ever enacted on these shores was passed in Virginia. It provided that blacks -- even freemen -- could not own guns.

Chief Justice Roger Taney's infamous opinion in Dred Scott v. Sandford circularly argued that blacks could not be citizens because if they were citizens, they would have the right to own guns: "[I]t would give them the full liberty," he said, "to keep and carry arms wherever they went."

With logic like that, Republicans eventually had to fight a Civil War to get the Democrats to give up slavery. Alas, they were Democrats, so they cheated.

After the war, Democratic legislatures enacted "Black Codes," denying black Americans the right of citizenship -- such as the rather crucial one of bearing arms -- while other Democrats (sometimes the same Democrats) founded the Ku Klux Klan.

For more than a hundred years, Republicans have aggressively supported arming blacks, so they could defend themselves against Democrats.

The original draft of the Anti-Klan Act of 1871 -- passed at the urging of Republican president Ulysses S. Grant -- made it a federal felony to "deprive any citizen of the United States of any arms or weapons he may have in his house or possession for the defense of his person, family, or property." This section was deleted from the final bill only because it was deemed both beyond Congress' authority and superfluous, inasmuch as the rights of citizenship included the right to bear arms.

Under authority of the Anti-Klan Act, President Grant deployed the U.S. military to destroy the Klan, and pretty nearly completed the job.

But the Klan had a few resurgences in the early and mid-20th century. Curiously, wherever the Klan became a political force, gun control laws would suddenly appear on the books.

This will give you an idea of how gun control laws worked. Following the firebombing of his house in 1956, Dr. Martin Luther King, who was, among other things, a Christian minister, applied for a gun permit, but the Alabama authorities found him unsuitable. A decade later, he won a Nobel Peace Prize.

How's that "may issue" gun permit policy working for you?

The NRA opposed these discretionary gun permit laws and proceeded to grant NRA charters to blacks who sought to defend themselves from Klan violence -- including the great civil rights hero Robert F. Williams.

A World War II Marine veteran, Williams returned home to Monroe, N.C., to find the Klan riding high -- beating, lynching and murdering blacks at will. No one would join the NAACP for fear of Klan reprisals. Williams became president of the local chapter and increased membership from six to more than 200.

But it was not until he got a charter from the NRA in 1957 and founded the Black Armed Guard that the Klan got their comeuppance in Monroe.

Williams' repeated thwarting of violent Klan attacks is described in his stirring book, "Negroes With Guns." In one crucial battle, the Klan sieged the home of a black physician and his wife, but Williams and his Black Armed Guard stood sentry and repelled the larger, cowardly force. And that was the end of it.

As the Klan found out, it's not so much fun when the rabbit's got the gun.

The NRA's proud history of fighting the Klan has been airbrushed out of the record by those who were complicit with the KKK, Jim Crow and racial terror, to wit: the Democrats.

In the preface to "Negroes With Guns," Williams writes: "I have asserted the right of Negroes to meet the violence of the Ku Klux Klan by armed self-defense -- and have acted on it. It has always been an accepted right of Americans, as the history of our Western states proves, that where the law is unable, or unwilling, to enforce order, the citizens can, and must act in self-defense against lawless violence."

Contrary to MSNBC hosts, I do not believe the shooting in Florida is evidence of a resurgent KKK. But wherever the truth lies in that case, gun control is always a scheme of the powerful to deprive the powerless of the right to self-defense.

a law degree or a Ph.D in our community allows you to be a leader this is the most IRRESPONSIBLE position I have heard in YEARS. We were supposed to have built an INDEPENDENT black POLITICAL PARTy and not yet. You all think you are so slick. This is the biggest ROUSE. But this time you will have no gas because we got a black man in the white house Don't you understand racism at all. They only PAID the professional class of the black people to keep us from being INDEPENDENT. Wake UP black man please. This is just another ROUSE so we can have AFRICAN killing Africans dropping bombs all over Africa and then BLAME it terrorism. WAKE UP. Independent is another way of SAYING STAY OUT OF THE INTERNATIONAL POLICY. I am going to the protest. And you can keep smothering the smoldering fire if you want by saying we the black community should be independent or STAY out cause the NATO is for the white man. Running arouind in HOODS like that will save a childs life give me a break. Inbdependent after we have VOTED for this BLACK man now you do not want the responsibility for what YOUR vote does here and in the rest of the world. INDEPENDENT who is going to fall for that except maybe the ones who just hate to see it like it TIS. Now this Afri Com is got to be averted and the 2nd right amendment has to be overhauled in at least Arizona and Florida, if not the entire United States for new gun control laws. Independence is REPATRIATION Garveyism now that is true INDEPENDENCE.

Rashieda,

Gun control is freedom control. The founding fathers of this country did not want the right to bear arms to fight crime. They wanted the right to bear arms so citizens could fight the government if need be. As an Independent for Congress I will never support anything that abridges our 2nd amemdment right. YOU READY??

Thank God felons can't posess guns legally. That probably covers most of the people who read this blog. I know Ajabu can't have one. When you make bad life choices, there are lifelong consequences. There were for Kofi and his daddy as well. It's funny how you demonize the Democratic party when Democrats do more for minorities than any other party. Also, crackhead, MSNBC has not in any way shape or form, said there is a resurgence of the KKK. The KKK and the New Black Panther Party and the old Black Panther Party are hate groups and should be outlawed and shut down. You are a relic of the past Ajabu. Yoy, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Dr. Clay are purveyors of hatred and violence. Fortunately, noone listens to you. If the community did start violence, then you should be charged with inciting hate crimes and your butt should be thrown in the slammer with Kofi.

As a member of Congress I will introduce legislation that allows convicted felons to own and carry a weapon. Once your commitment of incarceration has been served then one should be made whole. If not made whole then the sentence is never completed. For those incarcerated to never be able to made whole is a holdover of the Jim Crow laws. This new jim Crowism show cease now!! :YOU READY??

Thank God you are never gonna be in Congress. And Sherrie, a VietNam Vet who can't pack heat vs a chick with a gat? My money is on the little chick that is legally packing heat. If I didn't believe in the first and second amendments, then I wouldn't legally posess a gun, so quit making yourself look stupid. I am glad you have stated your desire to see dangerous criminals able to carry deadly weapons. Yet another reason you should not get any votes. You do realize they are going to show what percentages of the vote you are not going to get. This should be quite hilarious. It's is like you don't have a clue how stupid statements effect your campaign. Or do you think people actually agree with you? Your skewed viewpoint shows how out of touch with the voters you really are. Let's recap, you hate whites, women and gays and you think felons should be issued guns upon release from prison. Does that about cover it?

Let's be clear. I hate no one. However there is a bunch of behavior that I dislike and some of that behavior you display on a regular basis. I don't know of anyone at this time that is more dangerous than people who act like George Zimmerman and he wasn't a felon but had a gun. The founding fathers put no stipulation on who could have a gun. One only had to be a citizen to be able to bear a gun. I am with the founding fathers. Chick with a gat better get back!! YOU READY??

April 23, 2012 | Registered CommenterRev. Ajabu

You and other people, who purposely speak as if you have never seen the inside of an English class are what keeps you oppressed. Also naming your children Tequilla or some other freaky name is setting them up for failure in life, unless they are gonna be strippers or drug dealers. Microsoft won't be interviewing Courvosseeyay for that VP position EVER. You are a fool not to realize the impact that refusing to conduct yourself as an educated man and to speak eloquently has on how others view you.
Chick with a gat, better get back? LOL
You are too funny old man. Uhm........yeah, noone is afraid of you. Especially me. I honestly cannot wait until the elections. You have said you are going to win, that you have "done the math". Your open disparaging of women, whites and gays have eliminated three large socio economic groups from your campaign. You want felons getting out of the pen to be issued handguns and you are constantly trying to incite people to have a race war. You only believe in African-Americans getting due process and think the fix is in if anyone who is white is exonerated. Also, you keep referring to Trayvon Martin as a small black child. Since when is 6 feet 2 inches considered small? You exploit children for your own personal gain. Whether to get money or just increase your infamy. What happened to Trayvon is a tragedy. You should not be using him to further your agenda of hate. I even feel for Brandon Johnson, who you exploited as well. Ajabu, everyone sees right thru your little charade. What is really gonna suck for you is judgement day, when you have to answer for pretending to love God and using him as a sneaky cover for the furthering of your hate campaign. A wolf. parading around in the guise of a shepherd. You constantly mislead and misdirect. You are a slick, snake oil salesman who tries to use deception to further your own agenda. Everyone knows this. It was refreshing to hear so many people calling you out on the Amos Brown show. We all have your number Jack!!!!

Your words sound like you got race issues. I won't call you a racist because I don't know you that well, but I will say your words strongly indicate you have a race problem. It really dosen't surprise me becauae you have exposed this problem previously. The key about English or any other language is to be able to communicate. If one speaks perfect language and does not relay the intended message then the language is a useless tool. So I's tries to communicate the bests ways I can. LOL!!

Ohhhh. YOu might be interested that I joined the National Rifle Association today. I am really going to protect our second amendment right. Got to be ready for that chick with that gat. I pray God blesses you with what you deserve. Be blessed.

Dawn/Bunneh

Let me be clear. When the founding fathers placed high importance on gun ownership it was not because of their fear of crime. The fear was of the government. The founding fathers wanted the right for citizens to say what we wanted to say, to include to be able to criticize the government. In fact, the founding fathers wanted the right to bear arms especially to be capable of defending the right to disagree with the government. The right to bear arms now is more important than at any other time in this nation's history. S.1867.ES Subtitle D: Detainee Matters gives the government the right to lock up citizens who protest the government going to war!! Sec 1931 Affirms the authority of the armed forces of the U.S. to detain covered persons pursuan to the authorization for use of military force. The decision to lock us up can be made without the citizen being charged with a crime, or tried, or convicted. Plus where the citizen is locked up does not have to be exposed. This is now the law of the land!! The powers that be would like to distract us and even prompt us to fight each other. So chick with the gat you better wake up or we're all through. Hopes I communicated. Don't worry about the proper language use. Question is does you get the communication? I would laugh right here but what is happening to our rights in this country just ain't funny!! Be blessed.

Ajabu,
You do realize Hell is for an eternity. As far as having an issue with race, I will leave that to you and Sherrie. Where I'm concerned, there is only one race, the human race. I am tired of people playing the race card. Being a good person is not limited to ones race. Why anyone of any race would pretend to be less intelligent than what they are is puzzling. Do you try to sound stupid? If so, to what end? How this does nothing but diminish you as a person, makes your behavior illogical. Are you trying to sound like a folksey old timer? You just look dumb, not wise. You are a walking 70's blacksplotation movie. Your new nickname should be Shaft. Try standing up and acting like a man and come clean about your behavior. Try taking responsibility for your words and actions. You can start with apologizing for pushing that girl down at the Trayvon march, throw an apology Dawns way as well for all the lies and slander you subject her to. If you are not man enough to admit when you are wrong and say you are sorry when you.should, sets a bad example for young men everywhere. You sounded almost proud about pushing that girl. What kind of example do you think you are setting? After Kofi's misspent life, you would think you would have learned something about being a positive role model.
One more thing, you joining the NRA is like a fish riding a bicycle. You can't touch a gun and the fish can't peddle a bike. It is just one more empty gesture on your part to try and score some notoriety.
Grow up Ajabu. You are not this great civil rights activist like you think you are. You are a misguided race baiter. I hope God blesses you with all you deserve as well. If you look at your life thus far. I can see that its working. Please don't tell me you are turning that adorable granddaughter of yours into a twisted hate monger. Using her picture in past blog spots is exploiting her as well. If you will exploit a little baby that is of your own blood, I guess no level is too low for you to stoop. We see you Ajabu. You have shown your true self over and over again. Be Blessed.

I's just do knows abouts ya. I justs don't know. LOL We are going to win this race!! God will be the judge of where I spend eternity. I am so glad the decision is in God's hand. I pray to my God that you are blessed with what you deserve. Amen!! Amen!! and a woman!!

Ohhhh! I almost forgot. I just uncovered last night that Mr. Carson voted for legislation that authorizes the U.S. military to arrest citizens without charging us, trying us, or having to tell our families where we are being detained if we protest war too much!! Can you beleive that? Mr. Carson is in over his head. This is the very reason why I will never vote to abridge our 2nd amendment right. NEVER!! In fact I think it is time to expand the right. More people need to be allowed legally to be bearer's of arms. MORE!!!

Your entire agenda is about increasing violence and hatred. Al, Jesse and others like them, use any situation to polarized races. This keeps money coming in without you having to get a JOB. You are no Jesse or Al. They get 25 large minimum to speak. You get nothing but bad publicity because you cannot control yourself. Most of the mistakes you have made in your life happened because you acted or spoke without thinking. It amazes me that with all the time in the world, your responses are so stupid. Maybe you should get a blog editor to keep you from posting idiotic comments. Or a OF person to advise you on your conduct to try and sanitize your tarnished, racist, uneducated image.

There has never been any doubt who is in control here. You seem to be one of the few people that don't Jabby. And " Chuck" aka Ajabu. You used all the identical phrasing you always use when you post as Ajabu. This is pretty hilarious. If you want people to take you seriously.........nevermind, I cannot think of a single thing you could do at this point in your comedy routine to get anyone to take you seriously. You have been a long running joke for too many years. The only relevance you have, is what I give you. Andre Carson won't even acknowledge you as a rival. If that doesn't tell you how little you matter, I don't know what does. If Dawn and I didn't post on here, noone would read your little blog. Our comments are the only interesting ones on here.
I used ghetto phrasing in my earlier post, as most of the information I impart to you goes way over your head. Yes Ajabu, it is rather obvious that I am the one in charge here. Apparently, you have to post under many names, ie Chuck, Ajabu and your transvestite alter ego Sherrie. You really shouldn't miss your anti psychotic meds. Too funny. Thanks for playing. Now go stand in the corner and think about all the stupid crap you say and do.
