International African Economic Summit

KWAME NKRUMAH
K
It is with a great honor that I request your attendance at the International African Economic Summit.

Where: Indianapolis, Indiana

When: To Be Determined

The SADC ambassador has schedule conflict. He has committed and will get back to us with dates that fits his schedule. Stay tuned. This is going to happen. YOU READY??

Time: Workshops to be determined

Cost: $50.00 for both days

The goal of the summit is to develop business relationships on behalf of people of African descent here in America with member countries of the South African Development Corporation. Because American policy sometimes obstructs the development of Africa and her people, we want to guard against the American people of African descent being identified with negative American policy toward Africa our Motherland. Our goal is to protect the interest of Africans at home and abroad within the limits permitted by international law. Furthermore, we want to promote friendly relations between SADC and American people of African descent and nurture economic, cultural and scientific collaborations. We have been involved with the south of African before its days of liberation. We want to continue the involvement now in its days after liberation. We look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience. You can sign up by clicking the CONTACT link to the right. You can pay for the Economic Summit by clicking on the PayPal link also on the right of this page.

Best regards,

How about an Anti African Defamation organization -if one doesn't exist already - whose mission is to expose through video and print, actions, individuals, and organizations actively working to subjugate, degrade and oppress us? Perhaps we can also create an annual report of businesses, public officials, and others we should refuse to support, and in some cases whom we should actively oppose

Kwabena, unfortunately we as Diasporans, have been intermingled with the blood of the europeans. I am just sharing Afrikan Amerikan history. As Sankofa states it is the past, present and future that we need to remember.

May 27, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterCynthia

Cymthia, if we have European blood it is thru extreme violence and all of our foreparents went thru this horror, all over the world, dragged against our will. And since I remember and know the past, living in the present and experiencing the hell we are going thru, equip us to secure a humain future. We can only remember what has taken place, the future must be shaped in our interest and our liking. Afrikan-American story is the same in Brazil, Columbia, in the Caribbean, in Afrika as a matter of fact everywhere you find us. Let us do something about it.

The arrest of a doctor stopped on the way to the hospital to deliver a baby in Pulaski has caused questions about the citys past as the birthplace of the Ku Klux Klan to resurface

Black people: it is time for us to do for self. Rev. Ajabu thank you for pulling together the summit. You are a God send.

Why are African problems is of much concern to Europe and America than we the Africans. The AU is more of a puppet than a credible organisation to negotiate peace in any devasting country within Africa. Are we still under colonialism or what? NATO is bombing a country in Africa without getting any invitation from AU to do so, or is AU not credible enough to handle the problems of Africa? Maybe it's time for AU to have a military section to handle conflict in Africa? What is your take on this?

African people are very proud and productive, we must use this unique attributes to promote what we produce on our continent as well as trade among ourselves and not concentrate on aid, which means Trade not Aid must be our key word ...and our goal. Africans in the diaspora must be prepared to invest in Africa, exchange technology and technical know how to add value to the abundant raw materials available in the continent. We will create millions of jobs and reduce poverty if we go along these line. Only people of African descent can take Africa and its people out of poverty. If do business among ourselves, we will create revenue and a percentage can be levied on profit to be put in a common fund for disaster purposes. Let us see how we can take advantage of the vast opportunities before us to move Africa to the forefront of community of nations.

I am CAP Zimbabwe represantative and I am honoured and proud to be one of the founding members of this movement. This movement signals the demise of rhetoric which had been manifesting for years, Africa and its children need pratical solutions in economics, development culture , industry.Surrendering our destiny to western NGOs should be relegated to the dustbins of history.

First Africans must imprint on their children that our history did not begin with the Europeans, our history goes back to the first humans who began in Africa. We are Africans, not Frenchmen, Englishmen or Americans

If we agree that Cultural Revolution is needed to Rescue and Reconstruct African Identity and Humanity, then we must also define it in terms of expanding our productive capacity as a people, in order gain control of our social space. This means that we must seek to control every industry which affects our daily lives and destiny.

Laws by our enemy will not secure us. Only economic and political unity can protect us from the Black bourgeoisie (guardians of whyte supremacy) who feed our sons and daughters to those monsters by the miillions.

The Declaration states that "the subjection of peoples to alien subjugation, domination and exploitation constitutes a denial of fundamental human rights, is contrary to the United Nations Charter, and is an impediment to the promotion of world peace and cooperation, and that steps should be taken to transfer, unconditionally, all powers to the Trust and Non-Self-Governing Territories so that they might enjoy complete freedom and independence".

The fastest and easiest way to accelerate socioeconomic bridge building between the main communities in Africa and the Diaspora, is by getting the US, Brazilian and Nigeria governments to sponsor a 3-6 month language/cultural exchange program for all ages in the Diaspora. Students could enjoy a free term in Africa, while adults could apply to go on the program that will open them to firsthand cultural and business experiences and relationships.

This is the only practical way that we can get a critical mass of our people informed and involved. Most people will be able to go and at least learn, and know whether or not it is for them, as they relate with the people and land. Otherwise, it will be a mirage for most people in the Diaspora with tight or no budgets to afford a long meaningful trip. Moreover, it will clear a lot of misconceptions and give the Diaspora a chance to make meaningful contributions and rehabilitations in Africa.

The US government pays for Jewish and European kids to spend a term in Israel or France, so why not for our people that built the nation. Relationships will be built both socially and businesswise, which will provide a foundation for our cultural and economic reunification and synergetic progress. I am working towards forming pressure groups to lobby the U.S and Brazilian governments towards this end, and will seek partnerships with those that can aid this objective.

Black Nationalism is the only basis that all African People should unite around. Malcolm stated it in his legendary speech: 'The Ballot or the Bullet' and this brother drives this point effectively. It does not matter your religion, it matters only if you think, act, speak, and feel Black First!!

It is a simple question but you answered that very question in your comment later on. Africa as a poor continent that lack the military and econmic power to have much say in the world arena. There was efforts to bring forth negotiation in Libya and was scorned by the rebels who preferred the Western powers that could give them money to solve their problems. Money corrupts every human efforts, and you wonder why USA Britain and France are preferred by the rebels. Who did they go back to ask for money from?
