I want to take this opportunity to announce my candidacy to represent the 7th Congressional District for the State of Indiana. This run is history. To my understanding there has never been an Independent Congressional Candidate on the Indiana ballot. The signatures on these petitions will put this campaign in the annals of history. The reasons for my decision to run are very simple.

For me my family, besides my God, is the most important thing to my worldly existence. No matter what a person does, family should always support them.  Washington will not make me lose my family values.

Party candidates have put the party’s mud before family blood. Washington DC will not make me turn my back on my family. I am experienced. I am mature. I know who I am. Because of my knowledge of self I will not get mired in Washington’s corruption. I value my family. You all are aware how I stood with my son in his times of trouble. And, here I want to define my family as being larger than those who we share the same blood.

As humans, we have to define our family as our immediate and extended family members, neighborhoods, communities, nation and finally, the human race. Right now the very son that our family will always support is being subjected to torturous behavior in the Pendleton Correctional facility. If you live in America, and are of African descent, then you know someone that is in prison and quite possible the person is a relative. Can I get an Amen!! Those that are incarcerated are still of the human race. They are our brothers, sons, and fathers. These days we can’t leave out females. Those locked up might be mothers, daughters, or our sisters. Just because they have made a mistake does not mean they should be subjected to torturous behavior.

No visits, or no contact visit, brought to a visit in chains this is psychological torture. Clothes removed so our relatives are naked in an isolated cell. This is torturous behavior. Amnesty International is pushing for former President George W. Bush to be arrested because he tortured non citizens. Shouldn’t someone be held accountable for torturing America’s citizens? Incarceration does not make one lose their humanity. They should be treated humanely. I am unbought, unbossed, and unafraid to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, SO HELP ME GOD!! I pledge not to let Washington persuade me to turn my back on our family. Should we turn our backs on our family? Should we not support our family?

Right now in Washington they are trying to attack a specific part of family that we cannot turn our backs on:  our seniors, our disabled and our poor. Our country’s budget needs to be balanced.  However, in my efforts to balance our country’s budget, Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security would not be in line to get the budget ax. I am adamantly against balancing the budget off of the backs of our most needy family members.  Our seniors are not to be used in their youth and thrown away in the twilight of their lives.   Our disabled are not to be discarded as if they are unimportant and useless to us.  Our poor are not to be deserted, rather than supported to help improve their circumstances.

The budget should be balanced by eliminating the fighting of these unnecessary wars. I emphasize, the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya is unnecessary. The money spent on these wars would have been giant steps toward balancing the budget. The Institute for Policy Studies report the following:

  • $375 Billion/year could be raised if new taxes were placed on Wall Street, Corporations and millionaires.
  • $252 Billion/year could be saved:
  1. End the war in Afghanistan as we end the war in Iraq ($122 billion) ($400/gal gasoline)
  2. Reduce the sprawling network of overseas U.S. military bases (1000 bases in the world. Eliminate 1/3 saves $10 billion)
  3. Eliminate remaining operations in Iraq ($11 billion)
  4. Eliminate programs that are obsolete and/or wasteful.
    1. Reduce nuclear warheads on the way to abolishing nuclear capability ($21 Billion)
    2. Stop R & D of unnecessary weapons systems ($22 Billion)
    3. Eliminate two active Air Force wings and two carrier groups ($8 Billion)
    4. Use savings from eliminating inefficiencies to reduce overall military spending ($20 Billion)
    5. Cut outsourcing to defense contractors by 15 percent ($30 billion)
    6. Cut spending on portions of the nuclear weapons complex budget, such as a new bomber, tactical nuclear weapons in Europe, and two new nuclear production facilities, as well as unnecessary military space programs ($2 billion)
    7. Cut State Department Foreign Military Financing ($6 billion)

The defense budget should be spent on securing the homeland not spent on being the world’s police. Do we want to continue to be the killers of the earth?? NOOO!! Protecting America is the military's job. Repel any enemy that comes to the shores. Leave other people to fight their own fights.

Speaking of money, America must take back control of its currency. The Federal Reserve bank must be abolished. American dollars must be put back on the gold standard. Otherwise the bankruptcy of the country is inevitable. The Federal Reserve continuing to print money based on nothing of value is creating a house of cards that will eventually cause the collapse of America’s economy along with the rest of the world’s economy. The Federal Reserve bailout of Europe is expediting a world econimic collapse. The international bankers on Wall Street and the Federal Reserve on orchestrating the collaspe so the world has to depend on the Federal Reserve. In 1965 I could buy a gallon of gas for $0.28 cents. Now if I pay $3.28 cents for that same gallong of gasoline I think I got a bargain. Why did that same gallon of gasoline now cost so much. It is because in 1972 Nixon took the American dollar off of the gold standard. The Federal Reserve had already taken over the printing of the country's money. Now with the money not based on anything of value the mass printing of dollars by the Fed made the dollar lose value. This is called inflation. It is still happening right now!! The U.S. government must take itself back from the Federal Reserve by issuing United States currency based on its gold reserves.

America must truly begin to valuing our veterans. Today 25% of the homeless are veterans.

America sends our soldiers to wars where the stress causes them not to be able to deal with the life they left and when they come back from that war to that life the country will allow them to be homeless. Shame on you America!! There should be no homeless vets!! It gets worse than that. The December 2, 2011 edition of the Indianapolis Star reports an audit on the Veterans Administration (VA) finds that 18 soldiers a day are committing suicide because they haven't been able to make the transition from war back to civilian life. Shame on you America!!

How do you treat your soldiers as if they are worth nothing? I have been exposed to agent orange through the Viet Nam war. I have broken out in a skin rash. I submitted a claim more than 2 years ago. As of this writing I have not heard of a decision on my claim. When I asked Andre Carson's office for assistance Donna told me VA doesn't respect him anymore than they respect me. Why is he a Congressman if the VA doesn't respect him as one? What is that telling us? Andre is in over his head. He is riding on the coat tails of Julia. He doesn't have Julia's knowledge or savvy. I love him to life, but he doesn't know what he is doing.

I am experience. I being fighting these fights for over 40 years. YOU KNOW IT. I will not have to go to Washington DC to try and find myself. I know who I am. I will not be bought, bossed or afraid to stand with what is right. I will stand with the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

My campaign is about easing the pain. As Americans, we must start to be real with ourselves. Being a super power does not mean being a bully on the world stage. We truly must have change which we can believe in. We have to ease the pain of our families, communities, nation and the human race.  Specifically, we have to ease the pain of our seniors, disabled and poor.  We have to stop wasting our resources on wars. We have to balance the budget.  We have to take our currency back. These are all changes we can truly believe in!  They are changes that, with commitment, honesty and transparency are possible!  I want to fight with you for that change by being the next representative for the 7th Congressional District of Indiana. It is time to have mature leadership that won't be swayed to do what is wrong because of inexperience. Andre is a neophyte on a major stage. I love him, but it is time for a change. I am unbought, unbossed, and unafraid to stand on the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth SO HELP ME GOD!! I pray that you will stand with me. Leave your contact info. I will get back with you. It's time to get busy. YOU READY??

Ease the Pain!

Reverend

As I told Dawn, you can run circles around the uninformed Republican candidates. Can you imagine Herman Cain not knowing what has been going on in Libya. Michelle Bachman didn't know which continent Libya was on. And you know how ignorant Rick Perry is in almost everything. Newt Gingrich acts like he is intelligent but he has so much diarrhea of the mouth that he comes across as an educated fool. Poor Mitt Romney is so desperate to win the nomination that he got caught changing his positions too many times to be trusted. Plus the southern christian conservatives do not like or trust Mormons.

You look great with your beautiful family. I pray you will have a successful campaign and I do intend to send a donation. I know our friend in Athens will donate.

Don't pay any attention to Dawn because she intends to support one of the Republican candidates for president instead of supporting the brilliant Barack Obama. She voted for John McCain and Sarah Palin, the two dumbest candidates in the history of this country. McCain was 3rd from the bottom of his navy class and what do I need to say about Palin.

I know you are far more informed than the conservative Republicans that Dawn supports. She should be proud that such a knowledgeable Black man is running for that seat. She would trust racist Whites who would never want to deal with a Native American like her. You tried to be nice but she trashed you just as she did our President Barack Obama.

Run Ajabu Run!!!

John,

You are so inspiring. And your analysis is right on target. Mitt Romney is much like Andre Carson here. He tries to say what he thinks the constituentcy wants. This type of strategy causes the candidated to look wishy washy and points to them lacking knowledge of themselves. In other words they don't really know what they believe. Thank God I have passed through that stage of my life. I know who I am and I know where I stand. I will not support any war that does not come to the shores of America. I definitely will not support any military excursions on the African continent as Andre Carson has done. I am going to work with the Obama campaign to get signatures so he will be on Indiana's ballot. If Ron Paul runs as an Independent then I will have to take a serious look. Right now I am focused on the race here for the 7th Congressional District. Your girl that used to be the representative in Atlanta has indicated she wants to talk. Things are looking good. REAL GOOD!! Tlhis is history in the making. No other person has qualifide as an Independentto get on Indiana's ballot as a candidate for Congress. I will be set up in the near future to accept donations online. You know I appreciate the support. God is such a good God. Let the battle begin!!

You said personal attacks would not be tolerated on this blog yet you allow John to attack Dawn personally. More of your lies? I wouldn't vote for anyone whose word and integrity mean so little.

Bunneh/Dawn:

Do you know what a personal attack is?? Lord I pray for you. Seems like you just want to find something wrong. Debate the issues! Quit feeling sorry for yourself. You are not in control. You are not going to be in control. Debate the issues. It is just that simple.

Gingrich has pulled ahead in the polls in both New Hampshire and Iowa. The surprise is that Ron Paul is in second place. He is gaining traction. If Paul gets the republican nomination this will really be an interesting race. I mean really!! Check out his interview on my campaign: http://indypolitics.org/media/RevAjabu12052011.mp3

Republican, Independent Join Seventh District Race

Southport police chief, longtime activist seek to challenge Carson

By Eric Berman (eric@wibc.com)

12/2/2011

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Seventh District Congressman Andre Carson has picked up challengers in not one but two opposing parties.

Southport Police Chief Steve Davis is resigning at year's end to seek the Republican nomination against the Democratic incumbent. The two-time candidate for Marion County sheriff is the third Republican to enter the race, joining J-D Miniear of Beech Grove and three-time congressional candidate Tony Duncan.

And pastor and activist Mmoja Ajabu is launching an independent campaign against Carson on Saturday. He says he doesn't want to be constrained by a party line -- he blasts both parties for the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya, and for the ballooning deficit.

Ajabu says he'd bring down the debt by abolishing the Federal Reserve and bringing troops home from Afghanistan. At the same time, he says the U-S has an obligation to provide services to its veterans.

Ajabu sought the Democratic nomination in 1996 against Carson's grandmother Julia Carson. He finished fourth in a nine-candidate field with four-percent of the vote.

Ajabu claims he's amassed five-thousand signatures to get on the ballot. Independent candidates must gather the equivalent of two-percent of the most recent vote for secretary of state in the district. Since the district and Marion County's precincts have both been redrawn, that number needs to be added up precinct by precinct. Election officials say they won't calculate the required total until a candidate submits petitions, but it should be somewhere around 38-hundred.

Poor Bunneh

You need to be able to distinguish between a personal attack and a political attack on a blog. There is a difference. I know how to attack personally but that is not what I did. Read my statement again and think. Stop reacting emotionally to a political statement.
If you can't stand the heat in this kitchen then get out of it. Try debating the issues and avoid the cry baby talk about hurting Dawn with personal attacks. Man up and debate and stop whining.

Support the middle class

A decade before the current financial crisis, based upon study of fourteen industrialized countries I found that America had the smallest middle class relative to the whole population. The biggest middle class was found in that den of socialist iniquity, Sweden. On the other hand, the US had the second largest upper class relative to total population (next to Ireland) and the largest low and modest income class. Said economist Lester Thurow, "Probably no country has ever had as large a shift in the distribution of earnings without having gone through a revolution or losing a major war."

But, as with small business, the plight of the middle class has been largely off the liberal and progressive tables, with a consequent loss of votes easily obtainable with a little more decency and attention. Groucho.\

Run Ajabu run, dont listen to these people that are so unimformed, and blinded by the rhetoric that the American News Media feeds them, the haters and the racist that dont want to see a brother that will stand for whats right..We need desperately someone that is unbought, unbossed, and unafraid, because God knows 90 % of the politicians we have now are bought, taught, bossed and afraid...

December 6, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterDoc Holliday

Ajabu's religious beliefs depend on what day you read his blog. His pro America, Pro Veteran rhetoric began on December 3, 2011 the same day he announced he was running for Congress. Before that he said, Osama Bin Laden's death was murder, Christianity is what is wrong with the world today and all white people are evil and anyone who disagrees with him belongs to the KKK. He was unceremoniously booted from Light of The World Christian church because he couldn't keep a lid on his racist diatribes. This was after Dr. Benjamin accepted him as a brother into the church showing Ajabu what it truly means to be a righteous man of God. Ajabu is the biggest hate mongering hypocrite I have ever seen. If you want to know his real message and intent in running for political office, just read the back issues of Ajabu Speaks that is, if his handlers (wranglers) haven't gone thru and deleted all his rhetoric. This man and people like him are what divides the races with hatred and using shocking, sensationalist pictures and stories from the past that have no relevance in today's world. We should all love one another and celebrate the differences that make each of us unique, special and beautiful. I pray this man does not get a foothold in American politics. He has shown nothing but disdain for our America. He has burned the American Flag in public, he posted numerous articles about what a bad job Obama has done. "Obama has lost his way" and now he is pro Obama? He contradicts himself constantly.
What is up with posting the horrible photos above and then not giving them any context? That is someone trying to ride the rails of shock value and sensationalism. No one has ever succeeded politically by doing that. It is sickening how he uses images of other peoples pain to grab attention. Ease the pain? He really is running on Ease the pain? All he does is point out and magnify and use the pain of others to further divide communities. I hope you get to read this before he deletes it.

Ajabu, you did not address any of the political points I brought up in my last post. You want to debate the issues, then debate them. Tell us why you contradict yourself constantly. Why do you use shocking pictures with no context on your website?. Did you burn the American flag? Did you or did you not say Obama has lost his way. Did you or did you not say Osama Bin Laden, the author of the 911 terrorist attacks against Americans was murdered? Answer the questions Ajabu. If you can't explain away these statements and actions , then you will never make it in politics.

Ajabu, you did not address any of the political points I brought up in my last post. You want to debate the issues, then debate them. Tell us why you contradict yourself constantly. Also, explain why you were purged from LWCC if it was not for the reason I stated? You stated I was a whiner, well, as least I am not an old ostrich who hides his head in the sand and refuses to debate the issues.

The only wine I am familiar with would be the wine list you find in a 5 star restaurant. My wine is mad dog 20/20. I was born wealthy. December 7, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterThe Bunneh

Bunneh/Dawn:

Let's see. What are the issues being discussed? Let me list them for you;

* The importance of supporting family when a member has acted in a way that the family doesn't support. Andre has turned his back on his uncle Sam to support a loser white woman.
* The abolishment of the Federal Reserve Bank America must take back control of its money and then base the money on the gold standard
* The unnecessary wars being fought that are bankrupting the country's economy. Neiteher the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan are paid for so the country starts another war in Libya and introduces troops in Uganda to stage raids in the Sudan and Congo. Andre supported all of these policies. That is the issue.
* The abominable way this country is treating its veterans. 25% of the country's homeless population are veterans. Make that make sense to me. That is the issue.

Respond to the issues so we can havea dialogue!! Quit whining. Quit talking about things that you know nothing about. Talk about my stance or Andre's stance or anybody stance on the issues. It would be good to hear your stance. Quit playing and let's get serious. The country is bankrupt, our soldiers are getting killed in a useless theater and then being highy disrespected went they get home from theater andyou want to talk about what wine you drink. Lord help me today!! Talk the issues.

Will
Your point is well taken. The Department of Corrections policies will be an issue in this campaign. Right now they are torturing my son. Andre has been silent. I will not be silent. My silence has not been bought, nor do I have a boss to make me be quiet, nor am I afraid so I don't say anything. I am unbought, unbossed, unafraid, to tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth, SO HELP ME GOD!!

Gyasi,

Good to hear from you. What's this "Vash"? Keep your head up. We expect great things from you.

Ajabu, you did not address any of my supposdly political points I brought up in my last post. You want to debate the issues, but you won't let me determine what the issues are. Tell us why you are so consistent. I see why you use shocking pictures with context on your website. TLhese useless wars must stop.I appreciate you observing that some white people are evil? You did say Obama has lost his way. The facts are clear. Unfortunately Osama Bin Laden, the supposed author of the 911 terrorist attacks against Americans was murdered. You have answered the questions Ajabu. you will make it in politics.

You stated I was a whiner, well, as least you are not an old ostrich who hides his head in the sand and refuses to debate the issues. I do have a problem with wanting to talk about what I want to talk about instead of talking about the issues. I will work on that.
