Political Choice: Personality Or Performance?

This is must listen to radio. I am running for Congress. Somebody must tell the truth!! I am unbought, unbossed, and unafraid to tell the truth, the whole truth, and noting but the truth SO HELP ME GOD!!!

This question seems to be very pertinent in this election cycle. Conservatives say they don’t like Romney because he is not conservative enough. However, they will choose Romney over President Obama. The conservatives in South Carolina like Newt but are concerned about his values. Ron Paul supporters like Ron Paul and his values. It appears that Ron Paul’s supporters are the only republicans without psychological dissonance. This same dissonance we see in the conservative republican camp we see in my congressional race against Andre Carson. Let me explain.

This past Monday I attended a Martin Luther King celebration at Scott UMC. There I engaged a lady named Marjorie and announced to her that I was running for Congress. She informed me that she was an Andre supporter, however she understood what I was saying about Andre sponsoring legislation that is causing innocent men, women and children to starve to the point of death in Zimbabwe. I queried her and ask how can she support Andre if she did support his policies? She said she just did. I told her that it was evident that I would have to go on an educational campaign because she was expressing psychological dissonance. Here’s what I mean.

For Marjorie to support the person, Andre and not support the starvation of the babies is to say that she really doesn’t care what the person does she is with the person. To be with the person and not against the person’s behavior is cultish. A cult is defined as an instance of great veneration of a person, ideal, or thing, especially as manifested by a body of admirers (Dictionary). There are many misconceptions about cults.

 1. Cults are easy to spot. They wear stange clothing. Some do, but most are everyday people like you and me.

2.  Cults are full of the wierd, weak and emotionally unstable. Not true. Many members of cults are very intelligent, skilled, and good looking. Marjorie is intelligent, skilled and a very attractive black woman.

3.  Cults are just a bunch of religious nuts. This is a common mistake that people make thinking that cults are just religious groups. The modern definition of a cult is any group that uses mind control to get people to accept a person in spite of the person's behavior with which the supporter does not agree.

4.  Cults that use political ideals as their base are well known throughout history. Hitler is a classic example. Starving people, doing medical experiments on these starved people, then burning them in furnaces is behavior that most people would not accept. But because Hitler's underlings were so tied up in his mind control they carried out the orders that when looked back upon the question to the highest why did they do such a thing. They did not know their minds were in someone else's control. Marjorie, my sister, and others that are thinking like you, I am reaching out. My effort is not to hurt or harm. In fact, my effort is to stop the hurt and harm of starvation being experience by innocent men, women and children. A cult needs to hide the truth from you. The truth of Andre supporting SR533 was well hidden. Who knew he was in Washington DC voting to starve babies?? Who knew it?? His office hid it well. His handlers made it appear that he was good representation locally by allowing him to bring back $20 million dollars for a cultural trail that wanted to use a slave image to represent the contribution people of African descent has made to the Indianapolis community. At no time am I aware of Andre speaking out against this image. Why? His contituentcy in the 7th congressional district, both black and white, were against this image!! Yet not a peep from Andre. Marjorie, at times you were out front on stopping this slave image from being erected. And we won a victory because Brian Payne et. al decided not to put the image up. Andre's voice could have made our efforts more meaningful and the struggle much shorter. Yet he says nothing!! How can you support him when he expresses this lack of sensitivity? Now people want to be mad at me because I will not be quiet about this cult type behavior. Some times the truth just hurt. It is not my intent to hurt you. It is my intent to awake you. I know once in the light you can't go back and deceive yourself that a fake is the reality. Plato enuciated this concept well in "The Republic." Once out of the cave you can't go back. Once in the light you will not accept the darkness as being reality. This little light of mine I'M GONNA LET IT SHINE!! Light will eradicate darkness. We can't go back. Moses wouldn't let the Hebrew children go back into Egypt to be slaves. Harriett Tubman wouldn't let the slaves go back to slavery. I am not going to let Indianapolis support Andre Carson's sponsorship of legislation that is starving people literally to death.

Now I know many are saying Ajabu stop. In essence they are asking me to stop telling the truth. I won’t do it. I am unbought, unbossed and unafraid to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth SO HELP ME GOD!! Let me give you some more truth that most don’t know.

    When Julia Carson died and it was made public that she wanted Andre to succeed her I worked diligently to make Julia’s wish a reality. Julia died while still a member of Congress. Julia was a strong advocate for children the homeless, and adamantly against the Iraq war. Because of her death in office, the democratic precinct committee people were charged with choosing her replacement. Woody Myers and Caroline Mays quickly threw their hats in the ring to replace Julia. I felt this was so insensitive. I talked to both of their camps and expressed my feeling that they should not contest Andre serving out the remainder of Julia’s term. I did this because I thought it was the right thing to do. Instead of fighting in the democratic caucus I ask them to fight it out in the May 2008 primary. Plus if they fought in the special election it could divide the vote so David Orentlicher would be able to sneak in which also could happen in the primary but in deference to Julia I ask each of these candidates to please let Andre serve out her term. My campaign has advised me to share this history so people understand that I have nothing personal against Andre. My history has been one of an avid supporter. However, in my interacting and research on Andre I found his sponsorship of certain legislation to be a deal breaker. Let me explain.

Since June of 2011 I had been asking Andre’s office to share his position on Zimbabwe. I was motivated to know because diamonds had been found in Zimbabwe and I had connections that wanted to work with me to bring the diamonds to the world market. However, because of the U.S. sanctions on Zimbabwe I would have been breaking the law if I turned a deal. The sanctions were actually put in place in the year 2002. At that time the sanctions did not cover the diamonds because they hadn’t been discovered. In 2011 the sanctions were expanded to cover the diamonds which meant that people of African descent who lived in America could not do diamond business with Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe has continually expressed its willingness and desire to seek first business people of African descent to take the diamonds and its other commodities to the world market through people of African descent first. The impact of these sanctions over the years has caused innocent men, women and children to starve, some to the point of death. I kept asking Andre’s office to help me get these sanctions lifted. I continually called to get Andre’s position on Zimbabwe. As of this writing I still have not been informed by Andre’s office of his position. However, my research turned up the answer. I have found that not only did Andre vote to support the sanctions but he actually sponsored the damn bill SR533!! Y’all excuse me but this really pisses me off. Here it is a young man that I consciously expended effort to get elected, get out of jail and to be a success and I find out that he has sponsored legislation that is killing innocent black babies!! This was a deal breaker for me.

I am running as an independent. I had two of Andre’s own relatives to tell me that I didn’t really know Andre. And no, one of those relatives was not Sam Carson. Although Andre turned his back on Sam by supporting Melina Kennedy in this 2007 Indianapolis Mayor’s race I have not known Sam to say an ill word about Andre. If Sam did say something negative he didn’t say it to me. So Andre has turned his back on his family, and has voted to kill innocent black babies Marjorie says she doesn’t support Andre killing the babies, but she still supports Andre. That is cult behavior. I have to tell it. I won’t be silenced. I will not be quiet while Andre or anyone else is killing any innocent people especially if the babies are black. DO YOU FEEL ME?? This cultist behavior is causing innocent people to die. Yes, DIE!! It must stop. I will never knowingly vote in a way that harms anyone. And if I find out that somehow I did, then I will publicly rescind that vote. I am running for Congress. My Christian upbringing just won’t let me vote to destroy God’s creation of humanity.
