Tavis Smiley, North Korea, American Independence & Zimbabwe
Senator Evan Bayh:
Tavis Smiley, North Korea, American Independence & Zimbabwe
Thursday, July 2, 2009 several leaders across the state of Indiana met with Senator Evan Bayh, who is the state’s Jr. Senator. At this meeting several people came to me to express their agreement with Melissa Harris-Lacewell and her opinion that Tavis was trying to hold President Obama to a race agenda. They were at the screening of Tavis’ movie “Stand”, which is a very good movie that needs minor technical adjustments. They heard Tavis say in reference to Dr Lacewell’s article that she was “insignificant” and that all he wanted Senator Obama to do was tell the truth even if it cost him the election. When Tavis was an ardent supporter of Hillary Clinton his position just sounds so disingenuous. Tavis we see through you like we see through Dawn. Your self serving position is really poorly hid by your eloquent rhetoric. We all should hold President Obama accountable to do the right thing. We must hold you accountable to do the right thing. Yes, even I must be held accountable. However, don’t take a position that is disingenuous because it will serve your self interest to be the HNIC. For those who know what I just said, y’all forgive me.
Also at this meeting I had the opportunity to ask Senator Bayh to champion changing U.S. policy toward Zimbabwe. Presently U.S. foreign policy imposes sanctions upon the nation of Zimbabwe. These sanctions are very instrumental in causing the death of innocent men, women and children by starvation. U.S. policy intentionally is starving these people because it does not like the people who presently run the government. Any policy that will intentionally cause innocent men, women and children to starve in order to affect a regime change is a poor policy. President Obama is really iffy on changing this policy. Sen. Bayh noted that both North Korea and Iran are rattling military sabers at the U.S. Yet our foreign policy has not implemented sanctions against either of these countries. North Korea has even had the nerve to fire nuclear rockets on July 4th as a clear signal to President Obama and the United States that they don’t care that U.S. policy opposes them having nuclear weapons capability. Zimbabwe is of no military threat to the United States. Military threats to the United States are not even in the rhetoric of the Zimbabwean government. Killing Zimbabwe’s innocent men, women and children is a tragic position, and in Senator Bayh’s words, just not the right thing to do.
There is a resolution that is circulating around the House of Representatives. I have changed it so that it reflects a more humane position in the policy. I am asking all God fearing people to write your Senators and congress people to support HR 238 in the redacted form below. For people from Indiana Congressman Andre Carson has indicated that he is willing to champion a change of policy on the House side. His Washington DC office number is 202-225-4011. You can email him at jarnell.craig@mail.house.gov
Brent Evan Wake will be coordinating this effort for Senator Bayh. You can reach him at 260-426-3151 or Brent_Wake@bayh.senate.gov Please ask them to support HR 238 in the form that is pasted below. I pray that God continues to order our steps. Thank you for listening to AjabuSpeaks.
H.RES.238
Recognizing the threat to international security and basic human dignity posed by the catastrophic decline of economic, humanitarian, and human rights conditions in the Republic of... (Introduced in House)
HRES 238 IH
111th CONGRESS
1st Session
H. RES. 238
Recognizing the threat to international security and basic human dignity posed by the catastrophic decline of economic, humanitarian, and human rights conditions in the Republic of Zimbabwe.
IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
March 12, 2009
Ms. ROS-LEHTINEN (for herself, Mr. ROYCE, Mr. SMITH of New Jersey, Mr. MCCOTTER, Mr. BURTON of Indiana, Mr. ROHRABACHER, Mr. FLAKE, Mr. INGLIS, Mr. BILIRAKIS, and Mr. WOLF) submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on Foreign Affairs
RESOLUTION
Recognizing the threat to international security and basic human dignity posed by the catastrophic decline of economic, humanitarian, and human rights conditions in the Republic of Zimbabwe.
Whereas a number of circumstances have contributed directly to the collapse of the Republic of Zimbabwe's economy, public health care, and education systems, and other basic social services;
Whereas water treatment and delivery have dramatically declined, and many other basic social services, such as trash collection, have effectively ceased in urban areas, posing significant health risks due to poor sanitation;
Whereas, with the unemployment rate at 94 percent and with food and fuel in short supply, Zimbabweans now contend with widespread malnutrition rates and outbreaks of infectious diseases;
Whereas according to the World Food Program, almost three quarters of the population, nearly 7,000,000 people, will require emergency food aid in the coming months;
Whereas, in a country that was once heralded as the breadbasket of Africa, a higher percentage of its citizens now rely on food aid than in any other country in the world;
Whereas, with limited access to food, health care, clean water and basic sanitation, life expectancy in Zimbabwe has fallen from 62 years in 1990 to just 34 years today;
Whereas as a result of the political and economic crisis, and subsequent flight of trained health professionals, public hospitals and clinics throughout the country have been forced to close their doors, leaving most Zimbabweans with little to no access to health care;
Whereas Zimbabwe has one of the highest HIV prevalence rates in the world;
Whereas HIV clinics in Zimbabwe increasingly have had limited-to-no access to test kits, blood sample kits, and drugs to treat opportunistic infections, and high malnutrition rates have rendered many suffering from AIDS unable to take the necessary antiretroviral medications;
Whereas, as a direct result of the collapse of Zimbabwe's health and sanitation services, the country is in the middle of a nationwide cholera epidemic, with over 89,000 cases reported and over 4,000 dead;
Whereas the spreading of this disease was preventable and has since become a regional problem, with cases reported in all of Zimbabwe's neighboring countries; and
Whereas, in addition to cholera, HIV/AIDS, and tuberculosis, Zimbabwe's crumbling health infrastructure is now also challenged by the emergence of several hundred human cases of anthrax, which were reportedly contracted as a result of starving Zimbabweans eating carrion, or dead and putrefying animals: Now, therefore, be it
Resolved, That the House of Representatives--
(1) recognizes the threat to international security and basic human dignity posed by the catastrophic decline of economic, humanitarian, and human rights conditions in the Republic of Zimbabwe;
(2) deplores the current crisis and untold suffering which is upon the people of Zimbabwe;
(3) urges all responsible nations to join the United States in providing urgently needed humanitarian relief to the Zimbabwean people, as necessary and appropriate, with a particular emphasis on food, clean water, and basic sanitation, in an effort to ameliorate the ongoing humanitarian emergency and confront the cholera epidemic which now poses a transnational threat;
(4)requests that nongovernmental organizations engaged in humanitarian relief activities be given sufficient space to operate; and
(5)request that all political prisoners be released immediately and all spurious charges unjustly leveled against them be dropped.
(6) and demands that the sanctions upon Zimbabwe be immediately lifted so this tragic situation can be resolved as soon as possible.

“It is assumed that Americans are good and know what is best for the world.”
Most Americans believe their country is a benevolent and beloved force in the world. That belief is so deeply ingrained that even political progressives are rarely different in upholding this awful dogma. They are as likely as self-identified conservatives to support the government when it asserts a right to interfere with foreign governments, to occupy their nations, or to kill human beings on any pretext deemed necessary by the United States.
The term “Manifest Destiny” was coined in the 1800s, but its power lives on into the 21st century. Manifest Destiny was the stated belief that white Americans had the right to expand their power across the North American continent. Manifest Destiny resulted in the near annihilation of the native population and the spread of enslavement from sea to shining sea.
Manifest Destiny has been the cause of numerous wars spanning the globe from Mexico to the Philippines. Lies that justified military action against Vietnam, and the occupation of Iraq, were all fed by the Manifest Destiny myth.
Progressives have done so because they are not at all interested in changing the political system. Why change a system if you think it is just fine the way it is? They may prefer David Axelrod to Karl Rove, but they agree that powerful white men like them should decide what is right for this country and for the world. Their differences with Rove are less important than their absolute faith that people like him know best just because they are close to the ruling elites in this the best of all possible nations.
Progressives and liberals are as ready as conservatives to support government interventions in our lives and on the world stage. The country in question may be Sudan, or perhaps Iran. The clarion call is the same. "We must do something” because “we” are superior, all knowing, and chosen by a divine force to make the world in whatever image we choose.
No one asks how “we” is defined, or if the presence of the United States is needed or wanted. No one asks about the history of past interventions and their usually negative outcomes. It is assumed that Americans are good and know what is best for the world, despite a long history of numerous brutalities carried out across the globe.
“Barack Obama quickly made it clear that his mantra of change was little more than a marketing ploy.”
As long as white Americans believe in their inherent superiority, they will be a very dangerous people indeed. Some of those dangerous people are Democrats and some are Republicans. In the end, they usually want the same thing. They want their ruling class to dominate other human beings. They may differ on which individuals should do the dominating, and where and when the domination is warranted. They may even decide that a black man can act on behalf of the ruling classes, but belief in the power of that class is still accepted without question. As long as that is the case, Democratic politicians and liberal bloggers will pose as a great a peril to the world as do the stars of Fox news. In the end, they all want the very same thing.

Wolves in robes.
Dawn,
So you see people who want to stop the killing of innocent men, women and children as being wolves. Hummm. What kind of Christian would support that kind of U.S. policy? You truly are confused. Jesus wouldn't support policy that kills innocent men women and children because of dislike for the people who run the country. What kind of Christian are you showing yourself to be? Lord knows I pray for your repentence. God bless.
When Obama was elected, negroes went wild. They have ignored history. Blacks in charge is not the same as blacks prospering. Black people will not improve until they develop a 360 degree strategy that focuses on mastering the five (5) levers of power:
1. God - (a coherent religious concept that affirms, not marginalizes or degrades black people)
2. Guns - (self defense)
3. Knowledge - (develop a desire for acquisition and mastery of skills, information, and technology)
4. Money - (regain control of our own economic markets and use them to leverage wealth in such a way that our children can be educated, socialized, and empoyed in a manner consistent with, not in opposition to, a black agenda)
5. Votes - (strategic use of black political power not only during elections but in between them. Conscious Black people must begroomed and placed by election or appointment at every level of governance, from dog catcher to the Oval Office)
Obama, like his predecessors, is currently catering to those who put him in office. This could have been predicted by examining the composition his campaign staff. Most of them look like his mother's family. Many of his appointees attended Ivy League schools (Harvard, Yale, Princeton). Blacks gave him their hearts, votes, and loyalty without making any explicit demands. How is it now that when Black unemployment is at the level of an economic depression (really worse) that Obama's response is "a rising tide lifts all boats"? What a crock of crap! He can get away with that because the alternative (rule by the axis of evil: neo-cons, corporatists, and christo-fascists) has already been exposed as inept, incompetent, and unjust. He is turning out to be as described before the election; a liberal version of Clarence Thomas, wedded to ideologies but not to the rescue and reconstruction of Black people. Now, those will say that he is the President of the US, not the President of (or for) Black people. Though true, there remains a relevant question; to paraphrase Ancestor Sojourner Truth, "Aint I an American"? The bankers, the Jews, and now LGTB groups are making demands on Obama and getting responses. How is it that those with means get all the help? They all have some degree of power that they parlay to benefit their groups, but Blacks are relevant only on election day. After the elections, the status of Blacks and there issues reverts back that of a liability.
Black people will not be relevant until they think, speak, and act like a serious people to be reckoned with. Every ethnic group in the US understands that the society benefits those groups who function together cohesively, except for black people. A consequence of this failure is that other groups generate wealth by servicing the economic demands of Black people, since Black people themselves are unable or unwilling to do so. Therefore it is in the interest of other groups for Black social, economic, and political dysfunction to continue.
So be not deceived by salvos from white folks who have, as Public Enemy told us in the 1990's, "Fear of a Black Planet". Obama's assention is NOT an indication of the waning of white hegemony but an affirmation of it. Indeed, white supremacy will get worse as whites struggle to maintain power & privelege in a world that is 90% non white and a nation that will no longer have whites as a majority in less than 25 years. It is white supremacy/racism that we struggle against.

I am not an Obama apologist, and find fault with several of his actions & inaction. Check out Black Agenda Report of a more reasoned critique from a a black perspective. Right wingers drop propaganda on blacks that is de-contextualized with the intent of creating doubt, mistrust, and confusion.
McKinney released from Israeli Prison
Posted: 07/06
From: Source
Ed note: Cynthia McKinney has just been released since the writing of this article
by Meryl Ann Butler
At around noon on July 5, EST, a phone call, from a verifiable source, was received by a member of former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney's camp indicating that the American prisoners in Israel have been moved to a detainment facility closer to the Ben Gurion Airport.
McKinney's imprisonment has shed additional light upon the plight of Gaza – which is one of two possible results of her trip – the other one being that supplies and a little joy for the children might have actually been delivered.
Either way, it's a step toward healing Gaza. And the Palestinians, observing the commitment of the humanitarians to delivering aid, see that some of the world cares.
None of McKinney's Congressional colleagues, nor those compatriots with whom she was involved in the presidential race, have made a public statement on her behalf since her capture on June 30.
These events have brought to light just how much help an American citizen - whether a former public servant or not - incarcerated in Israel, under very suspicious circumstances, can expect from their government.
According to the Reuters article "UN expert says Israeli seizure of aid ship a crime" (on OEN), a U.N. human rights investigator called Israel's seizure of the ship carrying relief aid for the Gaza Strip "unlawful" and said its blockade of the territory constituted a "continuing crime against humanity".
The article went on to say that "Richard Falk, the United Nations special rapporteur on human rights in the Palestinian territories, said the move was part of Israel's "cruel blockade of the entire Palestinian population of Gaza" in violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention. Richard Falk, the United Nations special rapporteur on human rights in the Palestinian territories, said the move was part of Israel's "cruel blockade of the entire Palestinian population of Gaza" in violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention."
Other countries have addressed the illegal seizure of their nationals.
Bahrain sent a plane to rescue their detained nationals: click here
"Ireland's Foreign Affairs Minister Micheál Martin today called for the swift release of two Irish nationals currently detained in Israel following the June 30 seizure of a boat en route to Gaza with humanitarian aid... "My immediate priority is ensuring the safety and welfare of Ms. Maguire and Mr. Graham and securing their release as soon as possible," the minister said... " I would also call upon the Israeli Government to ensure that the humanitarian supplies for the people of Gaza being transported on The Spirit of Humanity are made available as soon as possible to the Palestinian authorities for distribution." (see "Ireland Calls for Release of Kidnapped Nationals Held in Israel" on OEN)
In the article "The Spirit of HUMANITY's 21 and the Spirit that Preceded it," the Palestine Telegraph says, "Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney who just prior to her kidnapping remarked, "This is an outrageous violation of international law against us. Our boat was not in Israeli waters, and we were on a human rights mission to the Gaza Strip."
McKinney said,
"President Obama just told Israel to let in humanitarian and reconstruction supplies, and that's exactly what we tried to do."
The Independence Day timing of these incidents is stunningly appropriate, since these kinds of radical steps by passionate revolutionaries in a quest for a better world are exactly how this nation birthed itself.
Reverend,
Again you intentionally distort my words. You do that because you are a wolf. That specifically is wolf behavior.
YOU are a wolf acting as a shepherd.
You incite anger and hatred in a religion that does not support anger and hatred.
Like Paul, God brought you to your knees after you led your hate-filled youth. You filled your son with this hatred and he killed. He is suffering from your sins. God led you to a peace-filled Bible based church where you are continuing your old behaviors within the flock.
You are a wolf.
God wants to use you. But you are still on your personal path.
When you begin to seek reconciliation and peace instead of retribution and vengeance...when vengeance is rightfully God's, you will begin to make a difference. Your position of leadership will soar. Until that day, you will suffer
I do however, support the emergency assistance to Zimbabwe.
Dawn,
You continue to distort the record. You are entitled to call me as you wish. However, I learned a long time ago it is not what you call me it is what I answer to. I ain't answering. By the way, your name calling is really a good example of a good Christian. I am sure you want others to follow your example. Surely Jesus would be happy that you are calling one of his own out of his name. I see the scripture according to you.
Secondly, my son killed no one. If you are going to say things then you should at the very least be factual. This is another example of how you skew things and want people to accept your falsehoods as the truth. You should take the time to view the documentary that Wes sent on the last article. In that documentary native Americans, which you are supposed to be, comtemplated how history would have benefited them if instead of helping the orignal European settlers to survive, would it have been a better strategy to have just killed them all, or just let them die. The native Americans in that documentary comtemplate whether their people would now exist on reservations or would they still be in control of this land now called America. I wonder if the native Americans would have chose to wipe out the original white people who settled this land, I just wonder if it would have changed history so that my people would not have been enslaved. There was even one native American that questioned whether it was too late. Hummm. All of this is just something to think about. Now this ain't me, it was in the documentary. This is just native Americans comtemplating how history would have changed if they had not aided people who turned around and regulated them onto reservation and brought my people here in chains to be enslaved. Is your name calling and this history an example of good Christian behavior? I wonder what Jesus would say.
It is good to see that you support ceasing U.S. policy that is killing innocent, men, women and children in Zimbabwe. However, I will know your faith through your works. Did you call your congressman and Senator?
I don't know why the link does not post.
But this blog desperately needs this message.
The Social Gospel And Racial Theology
Venom From The Pulpit
At Cobblestone Road, we expose apostasy and unscriptural teaching in the light of the Holy Scriptures. The "social gospel" and "black theology" are no exception.
The Lord Jesus said in Luke 12:1, "Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy."
Most our readers have heard of the "Social Gospel," which takes Christ's teaching and applies them to every day social problems. Proponents of this "gospel" believe that the primary purpose for the church is "social reform;" they are seeking to build a "Kingdom of God" on earth. Many do not believe in Christ's Second Coming. They are not pre-millennial. They deny the Roman’s Road of preaching. Salvation is not the focus. It instead seeks to deal with the material things-- hoping that something “spiritual” will develop. Rick Warren seems to be one of these proponents. It’s “about deeds, not creeds.” Well, without a correct Biblical creed, you are leading someone down a false road, regardless of how good your deeds may be.
The social gospel preaches that God is “against oppression.” This is true, but not entirely in context of Scripture-- for throughout the Bible we read that God allows situations in our lives that we may find Him. He has placed you and me where we are that we may seek Him. He allowed our ancestors to be where they were in order to find Him. Our life upon earth is a vapor and then it is gone. So it is imperative that one have the opportunity to seek Him—and men seek God in the
hard times.
Acts 17:24-27:
God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshiped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us…
The social gospel is an ecumenical effort. Ecumenism abandons "creed" and calls for churches to take up the "cause of Christ" which they say is to reach out into the community. They seek a mission they believe is “more relevant” to society. The trouble is that it is a false gospel. Jesus did not come to establish an earthly kingdom. He came to set the captives free from sin. Oppression existed during the time of the Early Church-- and never was a saint called to oppose government! They were called to be a Light in darkness. The True Gospel of Christ is the salvation of the soul—from sin—and is always relevant for it deals with the ever degenerate sin-sick world we live in.
Christians are in the world, yet not of this world. Christ commissioned His disciples to preach the Gospel to the utter most parts of the earth. The Gospel is the core message of Christianity-- that Jesus Christ saves and Him alone! The professing church no longer sees this message as relevant. They want to do the Sermon on the Mount, and abandon the Cross of Christ in their message. Yet administering food and clothing to the poor WITHOUT telling the poor of the Savior is unprofitable, unscriptural and tragic. The Lord Jesus told us to minister to the poor, to give generously to the poor and the apostle James tells us, in his epistle, that pure religion undefiled is to visit the orphans and widows and to keep one's self unspotted from the world. But this is to be done in conjunction with the preaching of the Cross. The message is that Christ died for our sins and is risen and lives evermore to save all who believe on Him as Savior. The Social Gospel leaves the Cross of Christ and exchanges it for the "social, relevant issues" of our society. Yet if you visit the local Christian homeless shelter downtown and hear the testimonies of people who WERE on skid row but received Christ while at the mission, you will see that it is the Lord Jesus Christ who saved them from their sins first and THEN transformed their lives.
RACISM FROM THE PULPIT
Every true born-again Christian will love his neighbor, regardless of status or ethnicity. None of us alive in the USA today have ever been slave owners and a true Christian should never be a racist. There are a few controversial preachers
in the United States, which have abandoned the preaching of the true Gospel to preach their social gospel with a focus on racial issues, racial equality, etc.—
with labels such as, “Black Theology,” “Hispanic theology,” “Native American theology,” “Asian theology” and even “Womanist theology.” "Black Value System"-- It’s not Biblical. It’s about their “self-esteem” – "black pride" feeling good about their ethnicity, while putting the blame upon "the white man." Where is that in the Bible? Well, it’s not in the Bible. The true Church of Jesus Christ is composed of both male and female; and all races—and we all read the SAME Bible, and have the SAME Savior, who is Jewish, by the way. If your Savior is not Jewish, then you have received a false Christ.
Ronald Kessler, chief Washington correspondent of Newsmax.com, wrote:
"In sermons and interviews, Dr. Wright has equated Zionism with racism and Israel with South Africa under its previous policy of apartheid. On the Sunday after 9/11, Wright said the attacks were a consequence of violent American policies. Four years later, Wright suggested that the attacks were retribution for America’s racism." http://www.newsmax.com/kessler/Obama_Church_Racism/2008/01/07/62285.html
James H. Cone, the founder of current black liberation theology wrote the following shocking words:
"Black theology cannot accept a view of God which does not represent God as being for oppressed blacks and thus against white oppressors. Living in a world
of white oppressors, blacks have no time for a neutral God. The brutalities are too great and the pain too severe, and this means we must know where God is and what God is doing in the revolution. There is no use for a God who loves white oppressors the same as oppressed blacks. We have had too much of white love, the love that tells blacks to turn the other cheek and go the second mile. What we need is the divine love as expressed in black power, which is the power of blacks to destroy their oppressors, here and now, by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject God's love." [A Black Theology of Liberation, p. 70]
Racism should never be tolerated in a society but at the same time, a preacher is not called to be in the political spotlight putting more fuel on the fire; he is called to preach that ALL men are sinners and in need of the Savior and to minister the Word in context, apart from rationalization, to the people. The preacher is called to forgiveness and to preach forgiveness to his own congregation. Stirring up hatred for another race is not true Christianity and holding this current generation accountable for the sins of the past generation is also unfruitful. No one born in the USA is born a slave. So many of the White Americans alive today descend from immigrants, who came to America in the Twentieth Century, to escape poverty, oppression, etc. The people alive today have nothing to do with slavery. Yet the white man is blamed for the slavery of 150 years ago. As hard as this is to do, it is necessary to forgive and MOVE ON. The Apostle Paul said, “Forgetting the past…” The Lord Jesus told us, “Love your enemies…” The Lord Jesus said that he who humbles himself shall be exalted.
The Bible tells that God is a refuge for the oppressed:
Psalm 9:9 The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times
of trouble.
Psalm 10:17-18 LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear: To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress.
Notice above that God hears the desire of the humble, not the proud.
Anthony B. Bradley wrote on Glenn Beck’s website: “Black Liberation theology actually encourages a victim mentality among blacks. John McWhorters' book Losing the Race, will be helpful here. Victimology, says McWhorter, is the adoption of victimhood as the core of one's identity--for example, like one who suffers through living in "a country and who lived in a culture controlled by rich white people." It is a subconscious, culturally inherited affirmation that life for Blacks in America has been in the past and will be in the future a life of being victimized by the oppression of Whites.” http://www.glennbeck.com/content/articles/article/198/9520/
Adolf Hitler grew up with a “victim” mentality. The root sin of Hitler’s ideology was envy—envy of the Jewish people in Europe, who were rich, prosperous and in prominent positions. Envy always turns into murder in the end. The Bible says that if one has hatred in his heart, then he is a murderer. And as long as man is unregenerate, there will ALWAYS be oppression.
1Jn 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
Some people have said, "the white people are not our brothers." Well, the Lord Jesus says differently. Read the story about the Good Samaritan in Luke 29. The Samaritans were despised by the Jews, yet the Lord used that story to illustrate WHO our "neighbors" are.
Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with
all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
The following quote was found on worldnetdaily.com
What the black community wants, Cone says, is for God to assist in its goal of destroying "the white enemy."
Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is
a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill gods who do not belong to the black community
... Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love.

Regarding Cone’s theology, synova’s blog wrote the following:
Missing the central idea of Christianity itself... that individuals have access to God through Jesus Christ... isn’t a minor sort of thing. Christians will certainly say that Jews are and always will be God’s chosen people, but Salvation happens to individuals only, to you or to me, with no regard to our group membership or the privilege or hardship of our lives. With no regard to our GOODNESS. The best person has sinned and is unworthy on their own merit to approach God. The worst person is no different. The murderer is welcomed as easily as the righteous man.
This is central to Christianity.
That some people don’t like that doesn’t give them leave to change what they don’t like. Redemption is a unique concept that is hard for a lot of people to understand or accept because it seems to go against Justice. And it does. A compassionate God loves the oppressor, the murderer and the rapist.
A man might willingly die for his friends, but who would die for those who are his enemies? That’s what Jesus did.
blog: http://synova.blogspot.com
Yes, the Romans Road is forgotten. The new “racial power” pastors have forgotten the fact that none are righteous—no not one. They have forgotten why
it is that Christ came to earth! It was to die for our sins—not to start a worldly kingdom. Jesus never told us to “crush the oppressors.” Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world.” To single out your race or single out another and call one good and one bad is not Biblical. God made ALL races and ALL FALL SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD. Man is a sinner in need of the Savior!
According to a McClatchy article:
“WASHINGTON — Jesus is black. Merging Marxism with Christian Gospel may show the way to a better tomorrow. The white church in America is the Antichrist because it supported slavery and segregation.
Those are some of the more provocative doctrines that animate the theology at
the core of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, Barack Obama's church.”
http://www.mcclatchydc.com/227/story/31079.html
The white church is the antichrist because of its past? What kind of Nazi inspired propaganda is this? When you single out every white church as being "antichrist"-- it becomes evil-- and it too is racism. The black people of America were slaves, oppressed, and it was evil but has Rev. Wright not read his history? At the present, history is being rewritten to cater to everyone's "sensitivities." The entirety of truthful history has been forgotten. It was the WHITE church-- Mennonite, Baptist, Methodist, etc, who stood up in the face of slave industry
and risked their own lives to free the black slaves. It was political white abolitionists abroad like Wilberforce, a devout Christian, who would not rest
until slavery was abolished in England. And it was Abraham Lincoln—a white, republican president, who signed the emancipation proclamation.
Isaac Newton Arnold, an eye-witness to the Civil War, wrote in his book, The History of Abraham Lincoln, and the Overthrow of Slavery, in 1866:
“Slavery was ever the only seriously dangerous cause of division among the states. The people of our country were essentially one, with a common Anglo-Saxon lineage, a common religion; one in language, one in literature, and one in law and history. That portion of earth called the United States, is well adapted by physical conformation, to be the home of one national family, and not of many. Remove slavery, and the people would gravitate into a homogeneous nationality. This antagonism, between free and slave labor, produced a great conflict of ideas, fierce, earnest, and violent; at last in 1861, it became a tremendous conflict, both of ideas and of arms; a conflict of thoughts and principles, of laws and constitutional enactments, as well as of vast armies; a conflict, the magnitude of which has no parallel in past history… This terrible civil war, this baptism of blood, through which the nation has passed... The soldiers of Grant and Sherman, Thomas and Sheridan, who marched from Cairo to Savannah, from the Potomac to New Orleans, will feel that the country is now doubly dear to them. They have bled for that country; and not a family in the land but has given its sacrifice to death, that the Republic might live. In so glorious and imperial a manner have the American people fought this great struggle for liberty, so grand is the theatre of their future, that the imagination does not set bounds to their coming greatness.” http://books.google.com/books?id=ZC4OAAAAIAAJ&
Yet history today is being re-written... Every white man was “evil.” Anyone
who believes this doesn’t know their history. Slavery has existed since the
Fall of mankind and continues to this day around the world in Africa, the Middle East, and the Far East, as well as underground even in the West. Man
is a sinner in need of the Savior. The heart is blackened, tainted with sin—man’s heart can never be rehabilitated—no, he must be born again—born from above, with a new heart and a new mind wherewith he will serve the Lord.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
The heart is evil and desperately wicked and all men are born sinners and are slaves to sin. A man who does not have Christ as Savior is still a slave-- a slave
to sin. The Christian man who may be oppressed by society is free because of Christ Jesus.
The preacher’s goal should be evangelism to all, not economics. It’s about regeneration, not “revolution.” The Bible tells us to obey magistrates, to pray for those in authority. There is no license given in Scripture for a pastor to challenge the authority of government, regardless of how much he may disagree with the status quo. He is to pray for government officials. The preacher who endorses a political candidate simply because of his race is just as much a racist as the one who votes against that candidate because of his race. “We’re just voting for our own…” It’s called bigotry and ignorance.
Just because a candidate/person claims to be a “Christian” or is a preacher doesn’t mean he/she really believes and obeys the Bible. Many Christians need to wake
up and stop being so gullible! And many preachers need to repent and to get back to preaching the Roman’s Road TO ALL people. The Lord Jesus died for the human race and calls all men to repent but they refuse for they love darkness rather than light.
And the Bible never condemns the Believer in Christ for being rich. The apostles simply instructed Believers not to be “high-minded” and that they would be “willing to distribute” to the less fortunate within the church body. And pastors were instructed not to be preferential to the rich but to treat all equally. (See 1 Timothy 6:17-18 and James 2:3)
James 2:1,9 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the
Lord of glory, with respect of persons...But if ye have respect to persons, ye
commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
Racial theologians target their message toward their preferential race. Yet the
Bible is written for everyone. To take bits and pieces of the Bible and form some kind of “catering” to a specific race to “help them cope” is not theologically sound. The Lord Jesus loves every one but men do not come to Him to be saved-- for they love darkness, rather than light.
To have pride in your race, nationality, culture-- it's idolatry! And God hates pride—He hates a “proud look.”
Proverbs 6:16-19 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Notice the last one—sowing discord among brethren.
Townhall.com columnist, an African American, Armstrong Williams, wrote an article titled, "Sunday's Dirty Secret." The following is an excerpt:
Arriving in Washington DC during the 80's, my most difficult challenge was finding a church home. Having grown up in the Pentecostal and Methodist faith Sunday worship was a staple of my weekly routine. For almost 10 years I canvassed the nation's capitol seeking a church that would nourish my fleshly failings and remind me of what our creator expects of us as human beings. What was consistent in going from pulpit to pulpit was that ministers were more interested in political rhetoric, the endorsement of political candidates, and the denouncing of some government or community proposal, than the gospel. It was quite disheartening for many years knowing that ministers were not teaching or preaching the word of God, but that their sermons were becoming political rallies. I was stunned at the blame cast upon the White man, the racial divisive, and all the things that seemed to divide and separate us from our neighbor. Then in 1995 I attended First Baptist Church in DC where the Rev. Frank Tucker presided and my spirit finally found what it was seeking. I will never forget meeting with the Pastor prior to joining and expressing my feelings about what I was looking for in a church. I made it clear that my interest was in the word of God and not political rallies, condemnation of America, and various politicians occupying the pulpit on Sunday. He shared my concerns and promised that this wasn't the case at his church. Since being a member of Pastor Tucker's church for about 13 years, he's never disappointed my spiritual yearning...
It is impossible for Senator Barack Obama and his wife to have patterned Rev. Wright's church and not have embraced his teachings and vision of America. My minister does and has always had a profound impact on my outlook about life and strengthening my spirit to forgive the transgressions of this world and not to induce more hate and separation. I find it difficult to believe Senator Obama when he tells us that he was unaware of his Pastor's vicious message from the pulpit and that had he known there
would have been condemnation. Many black intellectuals are still angry for what they perceive as the continuous crippling effect of racism and slavery in America on their careers. The irony is that many
of their children have embraced this country, finding success and prosperity, while their parents continue to allow their wounds to be nurtured in this hopeless mindset preached from the pulpit.
Michelle Obama’s expression of how for the first time she was proud of America was indicative of the influence of her Pastor.

Pastor Anthony T. Evans wrote:
“We as black people cannot base our relationship with God, or our understanding of God, on our cultural heritage. Jesus is not asking blacks to become white or whites to become Jews, but he insists that all reflect God's truth as given in Scripture. Where culture does not infringe upon the Word of God, we are free to be what God created us to be, with all the uniqueness that accompanies our cultural heritage. However, the truth from Scripture places limits on our cultural experience." Biblical Theology and the Black Experience (Dallas: Black Evangelistic Enterprise, 1977)

Pulpit Racism Leads Blacks To Destruction
By THE REV. JESSE LEE PETERSON | Posted Friday, April 04, 2008 4:30 PM PT
Racism in the pulpit has been an ugly reality in the black community for some 40 years. Yet, it took the mad rantings of Barack Obama's pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. to bring it to our national consciousness.
For the sake of the future of our great country, it is time we spoke frankly about this insidious cancer.
Many black pastors have said that Sunday morning is the most segregated time of the week because whites go to their churches and blacks to theirs. However, the question has never been asked, "What role are black preachers playing in keeping the races from coming together on Sunday morning?"
It's apparent to most Americans that Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Louis Farrakhan, the NAACP, members of the Congressional Black Caucus and the liberal elite wing of the Democratic Party are racist, but until the recent controversy surrounding Rev. Wright, black preachers have hidden their racism behind their pulpits.
I have interviewed and debated more than 400 preachers (mostly black) on my radio show, including members of Trinity United Church of Christ, and "Black Liberation Theology" experts like Professor Dwight Hopkins and others. I am all too familiar with the false theology of these racist black preachers.
Wright, Hopkins and their ilk attempt to use their pulpit, the Bible and God himself to hide the evil that lies within their hearts. They use the anger of black Americans to keep them demoralized, dependent and Democrat. Whenever black congregants hear these pastors blame whites for their own failings many rejoice because it takes away the responsibility of looking at themselves. These preachers derive power from the failure of their subjects.
These same black preachers claim to be called by God, but how is it that a minister can be called by
God and have hatred in his heart?
Many black pastors preach one message before a white audience and then another in front of a black audience. When only blacks are around, their true hatred of whites comes out but goes uncorrected by other blacks. This is the reason that racism in the pulpit has remained hidden.
Black ministers whose hearts are filled with hatred must be confronted and corrected, just as whites must be corrected when they are wrong. Black churches are setting a very dangerous trend in our country. They are leading most black Americans down a road of total destruction.
These "leaders" attempt to blame their hatred of whites on slavery or excuse their racist sermons by labeling them "Black Liberation Theology." To blame past slavery for hate speech is a lie. In 2008,
blacks are only enslaved by their own anger.
I am reminded of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. when he said we must overcome evil with good. Dr. King knew that if blacks were to hate the challenges that were put before them, they would not be free.
Fifty-three percent of black Americans attend church, more than any other race (Scripps Howard News Service and Ohio University, 1997). Yet, when you look at the black family and community, there is
little sign of God's presence. Most blacks cannot think for themselves, due to their debilitating anger.
Need proof? Ninety percent of black Americans continue to vote for the Democratic Party, even though many have suffered for generations under liberal Democratic leadership in cities like Detroit and New Orleans. Does this sound like critical thinking is taking place?
Further evidence that God is not found in most black churches is the acceptance of homosexuality, women having babies out of wedlock, the destruction of marriages, adultery, lying and cheating. How can this be if God called the leader of the church?
Every day we're seeing the fruits of bad seeds sown. For example, Kwame Kilpatrick, Democrat Mayor of Detroit and a professed "Christian," was indicted and charged with perjury, obstruction of justice and other counts after sexually explicit text messages were found to contradict his denial of an affair with
his top aide.
City Council members and citizens have called for the mayor to resign. Yet, Kilpatrick refuses to step down and has accused his critics of being racists. Some 60 black ministers have publicly backed Kilpatrick in his defiance.
In order for black America to turn around, they must take back their lives from false preachers. Fathers need to come back to their families, learn to work hard, guide their children, and love America (this is their home, not Africa). They must drop their anger, and find the truth within themselves, not inside corrupt, racist churches.
Then the Rev. Wrights of this world will no longer have the power to destroy the bond between decent Americans of all colors.
Peterson is founder and president of BOND, the Brotherhood Organization of A New Destiny, and author of "SCAM: How the Black Leadership Exploits Black America." He's also host of "The Jesse Lee Peterson Radio Show." For more information, visit www.bondinfo.org.
We wrote the following a couple of years ago in another article but will include it here, since it pertains to this issue concerning race:
One cannot help but notice today that the churches are still separated into "their
own kind." How there are African Jesus pictures on the walls of black churches
and Hispanic Jesus pictures on the walls of Hispanic churches. And white "Jesus" pictures within white churches...everyone has their own bible... designed for a specific ethnic group so that everyone can "feel good" about their ethnicity. Such is completely ridiculous in the Light of the Scriptures.
God made all races and the Body of Christ is composed of every nation, tribe and tongue. We should worship the Lord together in spirit and in truth! What a shock it will be for some Saints when they finally find out that Jesus is Jewish and that their past (including ethnic heritage) died with Him at the cross and that they are citizens of Zion, with a new heritage...that of the Saints. We are to forget the past. Just because our ancestors were "this or that" does not apply to the Children of the King. We are raised and seated with Christ Jesus! We have a new life in Him. We were all sinners before we received Christ. We were all in bondage but Jesus has set us free. Why then do we separate ourselves into ethnic groups? Do we love our "heritage" or do we love the Lord? Something to think about. The worldly man will be a racist and the media is fueling racism by constantly pointing out the "differences" between the races. One thing all races have in common....
NO ONE wants to live in a neighborhood where there is crime except the hoodlums. And the only answer to neigborhood crime is the preaching of the Cross of Christ-- for it is Christ Jesus alone who saves the soul, and transforms the lives of individuals.
The Saints of God should have love, compassion and understanding toward one another and towards the poor. A true Believer is color-blind and should welcome all Believers into his church, regardless of race or status. A person will find cruelty in the world...they will encounter racism or injustice but it should not be present within the Church. The Lord sees one color when He looks at us, it is the blood that Jesus shed for us at Calvary.
CHARITY WITHOUT JESUS’ NAME
The social gospel is a white-washed sepulcher. It’s a car with no engine. It has gone off the true path. Preaching social issues is not the answer! A true Christian outreach will reach out to the poor with the salvation of the soul as primary. The poor we will have with us always but everyone needs the Savior. Now, to preach the Cross of Christ without a heartfelt concern for the welfare of others makes
the message ineffectual. Good ministry flows from the heart and is impartial.
Our compassionate Savior empowers us for Christian service and we should love others and do unto others. People only see your faith by your deeds but it must be the Holy Spirit working through you and the Holy Spirit points people to
the Lord Jesus Christ. Good works are evidence of our faith in Christ and we are known to be Christians by remaining true to the Faith and having love toward others. The Lord fed those He ministered to but He was very concerned about
the soul. He came into the world to SAVE His people from their sins. He died for us and He lives to save anyone who come to Him by faith.
A pastor who spews venomous racial hatred from his pulpit has failed the Lord Jesus Christ. The pastor who does good deeds but does not tell others of the saving power of Jesus Christ does not obey the Gospel. The Church should not be a social club where people "hang out." The church should not be about “political rallies” and fundraising, etc. Leave the politics to the candidates, leave it to the lawyers.
And far too many small churches open their doors for the service and then once the service is over, the doors close until next week. They don't reach out to the poor, they don't seem to have a zeal for lost souls. They may preach the Cross in their services but they don't take the message in outreach.
The modern mega-church has many outreaches but the trouble is that most of what they are doing does not minister the Gospel-- they have left the message of the Cross out and have mixed what they do have with the leaven of worldliness. They have "social-club" activities for the community with the intended goal of attracting the world into their church…entertainment for the goats, and starvation for the true sheep.
The Lord Jesus told His Disciples to go out and preach the Gospel and He will bring in the people that HE desires into the church. To adopt "Christian" principles but leave the Lord Jesus Christ out of the picture is the travesty of the social Gospel. They have a humanitarian Christ and a "form of godliness" but deny its power-- for the preaching of the Gospel "is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. " (Romans 1:16).
Yes, faith without works is dead but in doing good deeds, a Christian must never hide the message of the Cross of Christ—he can never veer off the Roman’s
Road in reaching a soul but rather every Christian ministry must point to the
Lord Jesus Christ or it is not Biblical. If you really want to see a change in
your community, then preach the untainted Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ!
Quit pushing racism from your pulpit. Preach the Lord Jesus Christ! He died to save us from our sins-- and He transforms every person from the inside out!
Colossians 1:19-21 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
Pastors preaching racism need to repent! Repent and turn from your sins.
Galatians 3:27-29 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have
put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye
be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
In John 17:21, the Lord Jesus prayed, That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

Dawn,
You discern by calling people names. Now, not only do you know what is good for me but you know what is good for the Black church. In your opinion, the Black church Pastors are heretics. Whew!! Your words are very Christian.
Now let's see. If you hold me accountable for my son's behavior then that means that I can hold you accountable for your ancestors behavior that enslaved my people. You owe us big time. The biggest heretics have been people who went around the world thinking they had a divine directive to subdue the world. Did you read Margarett's article? Read it again
Then you say that because Zimbabwe has bad government the U.S. should kill innocent men, women and children because that government is bad. That theology is why we can't find many native Americans today. They were anhilated by white folks who told the world that God told them to do so. How much heretical can you be?
Reverend Ajabu,
Your anger is palpable.
What a fine representative you are of the cloth.
You + Me = Us
You are a heretic and a wolf.
Most of us in America are ready for a new day.
We will intermarry, we will become one.
Only you are the handful of people on this blog will still be grasping onto the old hate.
The sins of the father are visited upon the sons. Yes they are. Clearly you passed your hatred to your child. You still cling to it.
It is mindboggling how you could have been through the lifepath you have been on and not see the fruit of your hatred. Your tree is bearing no good fruit, Reverend.
You need to be on your knees. You are hurting the cause. Not the cause of your race. The cause of your Christ.
You calling anyone self-serving is highly amusing.
When, pray tell did I say that the U.S. should kill the people of Zimbabwe?
You lie, you distort, you misrepresent.
Classic wolf behavior.
I see you under that red cloak.
This is the vision for the modern church that I see really seeking understanding.

Dawn
You cannot convince any of us on this blog by writing a history book in an attempt to prove your points. You wasted all of that good space and said nothing. How insulting can you be when you quote the biggest, dumbest, crooked, and ignorant uncle tom like Armstrong Williams. He is in the same class as Condi Rice, Clarence Thomas, and other traitors of the Black community. When I noticed his name, I knew you were using a standard Black traitor and I just moved on.
Why spend so much time attacking Reverend Ajabu. He has his position on Whites who have and still are destroying Blacks in this country. You keep saying that the past is over and it is time to forgive; but you can't seem to grasp the obvious that Whites in power still oppress Black people. We can't get through to you because you keep trying so hard to prove that the racist oppression of Blacks in America is history; it is very present in some ways worst than the historical American racism.
Just as the Christians and Jews profited off of the slave trade, many are still reaping great benefits from the oppression of Black people. Reverend is trying to get you to see that we have bled and died from Slavery to the present day.
Please do not clog up this blog with chunks of history book excerpts that still don't prove your naive points. You will not come clean with the atrocities that were heaped upon the Native Americans who thought the pale face Europeans were civilized human beings. Instead, they came among them like snakes and attacked them like beasts killing prey. The Native Americans have been victimized by Whites who were trusted to treat their fellow humans humanly.
Dawn, you cannot continue to deceive yourself about these racists Whites in this country. We have not said we need to retaliate against our oppressors but we want to get you to acknowledge that Whites have behaved like beasts and are still behaving that way today.
Dawn, all you need to do is open your eyes and see what is happening to so many Americans, Black, White, and Brown. There is too much suffering that is taking place in such a so called rich country. We who live in the South are still subject to oppressive racism directed mainly at people of color.
No amount of Bible Scriptures or quotes from confirmed uncle tom traitors will change our position on racist oppression of Blacks in America. You can stop wasting so much blog space as it is not convincing anybody that you know what you are talking about. You need help.
john
John,
Thanks for your words. It is hard to get some people to accept the truth from our perspective, especially when then continue to reap a benefit from denying that truth. However, the truth is that I should not have engaged Dawn in this tit for tat. Its counter productive and for that I truly apologize. The world is preparing to watch the memorializing of Michael Jackson. Well, my heart is with him and his family.
However, a person very much closer to home has unexpectingly gone to be with our Father, and his memorial is also today. Steve Talley was a very well respected man within our church. His wife, children and grandchildren are definitely worthy of our support. I am going to get ready to go love on them. That is what we do at the Light. That is why people know us as truly The Light Of The World Christian Church. There is just so much love at that church. Even with all that love we do not make it a habit to ignore reality. I am going into prayer so I am in the right frame of mind to be with Steve and his family at his homegoing. It is what God would have me to do. God bless.
All,
My son just returned from his mission trip to the Red Lake indian reservation in Northern Minnesota. It was a very intense week for him living in the school where a mass murder committed by a 16 year old boy had occurred. They painted the home of a single woman and worked with kids at summer school My daughter did a trip to the lower ninth ward over working with a building group we sponsor. She was hanging drywall, painting and building. She intends to go again every Christmas and on her school break. She has made very dear friends there. I sponsor a young lady who takes educational materials to a Haitian Montessori school every year. Tomorrow my son and his team and I go to work with a ministry for women in Noblesville who are out of prison and learning life skills.
Please stop with the ridiculous attacks on the woman you do not know anything about. I am well aware of the desperate needs of people. The only answer is to get out of the blame game and just get in the game. That is why it is clearly documented that people who self identify as religious conservatives give more money, more blood, more time to service. We understand that we are not in the finger pointing business. We are in the business. The light spreading business.
That is what scripture asks of you. That is what Light of the World is about. Many Blacks know that and understand that. That church has brought the light to the world for many decades.
What I am TELLING you Reverend is that you are stuck and you are NOT living in the light. You are enabling the darkness. I hope at the funeral today of your beloved friend, you feel the love of Christ on your still dark soul. I believe that God has big plans for you as a reconciler. But the love that you share needs to spread to all, across races and cultures. No race or culture is more evil or more righteous than any other. We are only humans. Broken and hurting. Black, white, red, yellow, brown.
No difference.
Live in the light. Let the light shine through you. As a white-ish woman I am telling you that you are not giving off light.
RETRIBUTION! PUNISHMENT! These are the things that you seek. Does that sound like love and light to you? Love and Light do not come from government. The government provides no more than a safety net and basic services. It is up to US. Individually. To provide the love and the forgiveness. And the Grace. Beyond your comfort zone. Outside of your race.
Again. Look at the website of the church I sent you. You want to make a difference in ministry? That church is making a difference.
I have said my peace here. My daughter has once again asked that I leave this site. She sees only darkness here. I saw hope. So I stayed. But the darkness here against people outside the black community continues to be palpable. That is not of Christ. I will pray that at some point, all of you here will be touched by something that will help you to drop your bigotry and begin to see yourselves as what you truly are....part of the community of man...flawed, yes, but all loved by the SAME God.
Dawn,
To judge is God's domain. "What I am TELLING you Reverend is that you are stuck and you are NOT living in the light." Your sentence is judging. YOu are not God!!
Dawn
We would all be better served if you could acknowledge that the virulent racism in America still exist. It is like getting an addict to admit he or she is on alcohol or drugs. We cannot heal as long as the wound is being reopened time and time again.
I would suggest that you come down South and sit in the courtrooms, the classrooms, and the hospitals and see the carnage and oppression by the same racist system that I grew up under in the South over 50 years ago.
We will never agree until you admit that there is a problem in America. The race problem is not a thing of the past, it is ever present.
john
http://www.ohio.com/news/50172282.html
I'd say there is enough blame to go around. So are you going to be part of the fix or part of the problem.
The direction of this blog is part of the problem.
RETRIBUTION! REPARATION! HATE! BLAME!
MY RACE IS THE VICTIM! YOUR RACE IS THE PROBLEM!
People who have raised their kids to hate and then put on robes and pretend they are fighting for Jesus.
Hate is hate. It is all the same. Regardless of the color.
Dawn,
I reserve comment. I can only pray for you. It appears in your mind that God is happy with you and what you write on this website. You seem to think that God is in heaven smiling because of your behavior. Therefore, I pray that the godliness that you exhibit visits your life. I pray that the God of justice brings the justice to your home and family that you want us as people of African descent to accept. I pray that God does unto you as you do unto others. I pray that the Christian behavior you exhibit visits your husband's practice and your marriage. I pray that Clark Engineering experiences the full essence of your godly behavior. Dawn, you truly make me pray. As a Panther that has turned preacher Lord knows that at this moment I am in need of prayer. I pray unceasingly that your children, and your children's children reap the benefits of the behavior that you exhibit through your writings. I pray that God gives you all that you can handle, and more of the justice you want for us as people of African descent. I know that you have no problem with my prayer for if God will hear my prayer then you and yours will be truly blessed because of your Christian behavior. God I pray that my prayer is heard and answered quickly. Dawn, my sister, I truly pray that God bless you and yours as you would have us be blessed, QUICKLY.
If you read ANYTHING I have ever read, Reverend, you know that I have prayed for reconciliation and peace. Finally. The world is in need of genuine Christian healing. But there is no way for humans to "create" justice. All we can do is to treat one another right. Today. Your constant seeking of retribution is not "right". And it breeds further discord. If you start opening your heart to God's true purpose for you, you will see that I am right. Change out of your retribution robes, Reverend. Change into reconciliation robes. That is of Christ.
If there is anyone on this Board is a genuine Christian....we all know that John is not, look at the ugliness of the intentions of the "Reverend's" last post. Ask yourself. Is this a man who knows Jesus Christ?
Heavenly Father, I ask your help today to reach the heart of Mmoja Ajabu, who is your child. He is hurting. He needs your healing spirit. He has a mission to ease the racial tensions in our city and in our country that have continued from the time of our birth. Help him to see that only love and relationship will bring about the change that he seeks. Help him to see that his anger against his white Christian brothers and sisters yields further anger and disagreement. Help him to release it. You can do this for him because you can do all things. Help him to see that justice is not his to define, but yours. This man has great gifts you have given him. Help him to use those gifts in service to others to serve as an example for others. He could be such a great servant in your desire for peace.
In Jesus' name I pray these things.
Amen.
BTW....Terrible story today about the swim club outside of Philly. Something about this story seems so odd, though. Why would a private swim club admit a group of campers? I have belonged to many private swim clubs. None of them have ever taken in temporary groups. Really odd. But I do not dispute the story.
I wish that Christians would be more bold in their protest. I am sure that when this obvious racism was taking place SOMEONE who has some sense was within earshot.
Being the daughter of a teacher who was always very bold, I know that I would have stepped up right at that moment and corrected the ugly behavior at the club. People who are behaving badly usually back away from it when the light is shined on it. People just need to be more BOLD about stopping bad behavior right in its tracks.
