President Obama, Afghanistan & The Nobel Peace Prize

President Obama, Afghanistan & The Nobel Peace Prize

I am warning you now. Buckle up, this ride is going to be rough. I am a strong supporter of President Obama. Although the conservatives on this blog have accused me of supporting Senator Obama for President just because he is Black I am getting ready to share insight on why I actually supported the President. Now let me be honest and forthright, the President being black did not disqualify, nor did it qualify him as worthy of my support. He being Black was definitely a positive. However, just being black by itself is not enough for one to get my support. I would not support Charles Barkley, Lil’ Wayne, or Diana Ross if they ran for president. All of them are black, but in my opinion they are not worthy of my support just because they are Black. However that could change if they had a good platform for policy. However, I did not support Senator Obama for President just because he is Black, I supported him because I like what he said about his positions on policies. I hope I have made myself clear. Therefore, let me get into the meet of this article.

Right now President Obama is contemplating whether to send more troops to Afghanistan.  Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal has requested more troops be sent. First of all I would no more listen to McChrystal than I would listen to Rush Limbaugh on how to conduct foreign policy. McChrystal somehow allowed a top secret document to be leaked to the press saying if he didn’t get more troops then defeat was probable in Afghanistan. I put the blame for the leak on McChrystal because as a commander he should have had the necessary security on the document so it went to no one other than who it was supposed to go. Secondly, he goes over in England and does a radio interview and speaks in opposition to the Commander in Chief’s position on the war. McChrystal has shown his lack of efficiency by letting the document be compromised and shown insubordination by speaking against the Commander in Chief. President Obama should court martial him and run him from the military in the disgrace that he deserves. If McChrystal is aware of the military history of Afghanistan then he knows that no military force in history has been able to win a war in that country. The United States can send all the troops in it wants but victory will not be forthcoming. More troops will be more targets which will end up being more deaths of brave warriors in a war that can’t be won. A good general would not ask for more troops, but would ask for a schedule to depart. Hold on. I ain’t through.

George Bush, when he was President, got us into Afghanistan because he felt it was a safe haven for Al- Qaeda which was sanctioned by the Taliban who were then running the country. That may be true. However, I think that if the U.S. talked to Al-Qaeda and the Taliban that we could come to an agreement that would keep America safe without costing us soldiers. Afghanistan has a diplomatic solution, not a solution from the military. The diplomacy would have to say, and mean it, that we would not support Israel’s continued expansion of housing on the West Bank. America’s foreign policy in the Middle East is the fulcrum of most of the hate that the country is experiencing in the world. The U.S. would also have to get troops out of Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Let them people fight their own battles. I support all people who want to be free. However, they do not have to gain their freedom from the lives expended by American soldiers. The cost of any country’s freedom should be the price of their own lives, not the lives of outside forces. If U.S. foreign policy was built on the foundation of minding its own business, and leaving other folks business alone, then the threat of attacks on this country would diminish considerably. Our military should be used to defend American soil. Are y’all mad yet? Stay tuned, there is still more.

Many conservatives hooped and hollered about President Obama being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. The committee awarded him the prize because his policies had fostered an environment that would use negotiation as opposed to the military. This award shows me how controlled the news is here in America. The world sees our President as a peace maker because he was willing to talk to Iran, the Taliban, and all other so-called enemies to the United States. His willingness to talk was seen by the world as a giant step toward peace in the world. The news in America did not reveal the impact that President Obama’s words had, and is having on world opinion. I supported Senator Obama to be President Obama not because he is Black, but because of his policies. Mr. President, if you send more troops to Afghanistan then you will make the Nobel Peace Prize to be a lie. Peace makers do not escalate wars. You ran on change. It truly is time for a change in U.S. foreign policy. I will not support you on a policy that increases the likelihood that American soldiers will die for others’ freedom. Don’t escalate in Afghanistan. You must de-escalate. Countries other than the U.S. must expend their own lives if they want to be free. For those who love life, we must help the President to decide not to continue the failed policy of George Bush when he was President. Diplomacy will increase the love and decrease the hate.

Many of you tell me you appreciate this message. Your support for this message of life, this messenger, and this ministry are paramount to hearing that lonely voice of truth which is yelling in the wilderness. Do not let this voice be silenced. Support the message and the messenger. Thank you for listening to AjabuSpeaks.

On this topic, I am completely willing to give the President's new approach a try. Other than the fact that I think we are fools to bring the Russian's on tour of our nuclear facilities, I think that we have to admit....what we were doing in the way of foreign policy was NOT working.

Reverend, you are a total egomaniac. Where in the world did you ever get the idea that YOU are THE voice of truth? I can't imagine ever thinkind this about myself. And this may be the reason your ministry bears no fruit. Here is a clue. Jesus Christ is the voice of truth. You should be looking to him for clarification. Because trust me. You are NOT THE voice of truth. You are no more than a man like any other man. Damaged and flawed.

Dawn,

You must learn how to read. I did not call myself "the" voice of truth. "The" implies ultimate. I am "a" voice of truth. It seems that you are trying to justify your lack of compassion by trying to find fault in me. It is not hard to find a fault in myself. I am human. All of us fall short. That being said, finding fault in me will not cover or erase the faults in you. So to use yourself as a measuring tool for me is to no avail. You will have to account for your own action. Some where in the book is something like what you have done to the least of these you have done to me. For you to not help when you can help is ultimately a curse of the One you say you follow. Christians get there name from Christ. Your lack of compassion is what makes the term "conservative Christian" an oxymoron. Compassion is not based on if we believe the same. The variables in the formula of compassion is ability and need. If you have the capability then you should supply the need. Jesus said What you do to the least of these you do also to me. Are you willing to treat Jesus the way that you are treating me? That is the personal question that applies to a larger issue.

Would President Obama want America to be treated the way that America has treated Afghanistan? The policy to Afghanistan involves not only Afghan live but also the loss of life of American troops. I don't want to imply that American lives are more important than Afghan lives, but it is a reality that a death in the family impacts the family more than the death of someone who the family knows nothing about. Truly we must stop the death and destruction that right now identifies America's foreign policy. The Nobel Peace Prize committee is sending a message to President Obama that the world sees him as capable of bringing peace to the world. President Obama must understand the psychological affect that his victory in the belly of America is having on the world. He must not blow the opportunity to take a giant step towards peace in his decision toward Afghanistan. His decision towards Afghanistan will have such impact. It will eithere increase world peace or increase world war. I pray that he chooses peace. God bless.

No, Reverend,
Do not twist what I have said, again.
You are a master twister. It's what you "do".
I suggest that you start sharing the Word. Instead, you share YOUR word. That is not ministry. It's egomania. Calling your opinions truth is silly. They are opinions.

You asked people to support your ministry. Your ministry is not God's ministry. It is your ministry. Because you are not a sheep. You are a wolf masquerading as one of the sheep.

If you were to say, "Please help ME, because I am needing help, I would help you." Instead, you purport to be THE truth and a ministry. Neither is the truth.

Neither is it true that you are seeking to reduce the hate.

"You must learn how to read"
I read quite well. You call yourself a voice of truth. You are in truth, just another voice. You have spent a lifetime being a loud one, to be sure, but not usually one speaking truth. You are much more interested in your political worldview than the Word.

"trying to justify your lack of compassion"
Having no compassion for you at this moment is not the same as not having compassion.

"For you to not help when you can help is ultimately a curse of the One you say you follow"

I told you I would help the "you" the man. But you don't represent this help as that. You purport your personal need as need for a ministry. That is not true. What you do here is not ministry. It's just another opinion blog, for which there are millions. This blog isn't helping anyone. I suspect that the IRS would have some questions for you.

"the term "conservative Christian" an oxymoron"
Not true. God made liberals and God made conservatives. Conservative Christians have a consistently better record of compassionate giving. Your problem is that I have a problem with your disengenuous request to support a ministry that is not a ministry.

"If you have the capability then you should supply the need."
If you were honest about what you are asking for, you might get a different answer.

"Are you willing to treat Jesus the way that you are treating me? "
If Jesus were as dishonest as you are, I would not be following him.

This is a man who is reducing the hate?

I am tired of bickering with you and with John, who is frankly an even louder and more strident voice than yours.

I came here because I believed that you were what you said you were. A changed man. Changed by the blood of Christ. I really believed that you could make a difference. But the truth is, you are using your "ministry"as a club to beat people over the head with the same old bigotry you have always held. Your ministry is a mask. A costume. A scam. And the more you are exposed, the nastier you get.

If you truly want to become a follower of Christ, and a teacher, I suggest that you start, first of all, by accepting the whole Word. Not just the pieces of it that you can use against white people.

"Rev" Ajabu-

I love how you continually distort facts to make excuses for "your President" and his sophomoric display of "leadership".

You mention the "Leak"- which the White House is not investigating--, do you think it is maybe due the possibility that OBAMA White House initiated the leak to tarnish McChrystal??
Wonder what Midwestern city those tactics came from- maybe the CHICAGO POLITiCAL MACHINE?

Of course-- you wouldnt want to discuss the rampant corruption of the people in the White House that Obama has surrounded himself with.
Youre being SUCKERED Again!- Sucka! ha ha.

Obama took 4 months just to figure out what kind of a dog to get....now he's putting our troops in danger to appease the ball-less left.

Obama should be ashamed for hanging our commanders and troops out to dry for his own political "posing " and posturing".....He has done just that, Obama couldn't hold McChrystal's pants up, and OBAMA can't make up his mind without calling Nancy Pelosi first (who is white, hmmmm?).

Like Obama has a clue about ANYTHING to do with the military??? What a joke, former ACORN organizer is now "Commander in Chief".

Shame on you- once again-- FOR YOUR LIES.
You haven't a shred of integrity, or credibility to stand next to ANYONE who serves in our ARMED FORCES.
What a joke you are, increasing the hate again you phony.

Now HERE is a man who is genuinely seeking truth.

I think I'll move to HIS blog.
There's a lot more honesty and love here.

Dawn,

Listen to the Consevative Christian. You say you read well, but evidently not. Your behavior makes the term "conservative Christian" an oxymoron. Not the term, but you behavior. You are trying to stipulate your giving to make me believe as you. You are missing the lesson of the good Samaritan. It was not about helping the jew because he had the same belief, it was about helping the man because he had the need. Still, what you do to the least of these you do to me. Those are written to be Jesus' words. Lack of compassion is lack of compassion, even if you have no compassion for me. You have a funny interpretation of the word. The word doesn't say have compassion for everyone except Ajabu. You want to call this spin. It's not spin, it is the true implication of your words. See there is one true way to know whether one is in the will of God or not. If I am in the will of God then God will see me through. If not through you then he will provide another route for a blessing. God did not ordain me to forsake me. That is so, if I stay with God's will. If I am not within God's will, then I will perish. With me knowing me and my heart I am willing to bet that God will see me through. When God does see me through, then what will that tell you about you. Jesus said, what you do to the least of these you do to me. Jesus did not qualify his words by saying that the least of these must belive anything. That is you addition to what Jesus said. Dawn, my sister, you better quit playing with God. You will have to account. I pray that you see the error of the theology that you are expressing. You WILL have to account.

Jayson, Jayson,

It seems you just want to go out of your way to be contrary. I believe there are a lot of things that President Obama will do but to intentionally make himself look bad is not one of them. I would bet that the President is trying not to come off as being harsh on a decorated military man. It is the same thing with trying to get mainly republicans, and some so-called blue dog democrats to support his healthcare policy. In my opinion, in his quest for unity and a attempting to make American policy more humane he is doing so to a fault. He has the power to enact healthcare policy, and any other policy that he chooses right now. He show go with them that are with him, and not worry about those who aren't.

I don't know if we are in agreement about Afghanistan or not. I think that we are in agreement that President Obama should make his decison and make it quickly. We might depart agreement on what decision should be made. But let me be clear. America needs to get out of Afghanistan, Iraq and quit placidly supporting Israel's expansion on the West Bank. McChrystal needs to be severely reprimanded. He needs to be remove from his command position. And the troops need to be brought home. All this needs to be done decently and in order, but it needs to be done. I see that President Obama and Maliki had a press conference today and agreed that all troops would be out of Iraq by 2012. To me that is too long. Iraqis must expend their own lives for their own freedom. Afghans must expend their own lives for their freedom. American lives should not be spent to buy other people's freedom. America's fight is for America's territory. We should spend six months out of the year minding our own business, and the other six months of the year leaving other people's business alone. God bless.

Reverend,
Keep spinning.
You still don't understand. You ask for support of your ministry. Your ministry is to accuse people of all kinds of stuff of your imagination. If your ministry were to spread the gospel of Christ, I would support your ministry.

What you REALLY want is charity for YOU. That is different from a ministry. You are behind in your house payment because the tree of your ministry is not producing good fruit. I'll help anybody who is down. But that isn't what you are asking for. I'll help anyone who is doing good ministry. But that isn't what you are doing.

Don't flatter yourself that you are somehow an innocent victim, Reverend. You continue to reap as you sow.

More accurate scripture would be found in Mark
“Listen to this! Behold, the sower went out to sow; 4 as he was sowing, some seed fell beside the road, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 “Other seed fell on the rocky ground where it did not have much soil; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of soil. 6 “And after the sun had risen, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. 7 “Other seed fell among the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked it, and it yielded no crop. 8 “Other seeds fell into the good soil, and as they grew up and increased, they yielded a crop and produced thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold.” 9 And He was saying, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”

When you become a voice to decrease the hate, Reverend, the seed will grow and yield a crop a hundredfold. That will occur when you begin to preach the Word with a humble heart. I hope to see that day come.

P.S.

I'll check back in a year. In the meantime, if any of the good saints at LOTW can help this man, I will continue to pray for him to be blessed by good Christian counsel.

Dawn and Jayson

Both of you ought to be ashame of yourselves trying to gang up on Reverend Ajabu. Lets begin with truth, which is a statement or a discussion that is not a lie. You can speak the truth just as Jesus did. We are all Gods, children of the most high God. We can speak truth without being deity. Dawn, please stop making these weak phony statements like you are so knowledgeable of the "Word". We are to be like Christ and one essential element is to speak the truth; Ajabu has spoken a lot of truth on this blog. You have spoken truth and I know I have. Many times biblical scholars don't agree with truth as seen by others, the Pharisees didn't agree with the truth of Jesus. Remember when He said, "A greater than Solomon is here," You know those Pharisees and Scribes didn't agree with Jesus.

So, why would you condemn Rev Ajabu because he declares that what he espouses on this blog is the truth. As much as I hate to admit it, you have stumbled on the truth occasionally. Truth can come from anyone, saint or sinner, because God looks on the heart and no man can do that, not even you Dawn. You cannot possibly know Rev Ajabu's heart and you can't keep jumping to conclusions like you are psychic or have some special powers.

This blog is a ministry. There are many discussions that elevate the Christ. It is a debate format but God has been lifted up. There maybe readers who have come to know God from many of our discussions.

You mentioned the word political as it applies to this blog as if politics didn't exist in God's Word. Take the Children of Israel who worked for Pharoah, He said, Go down Moses and tell old Pharoah to let my people go. Can anyone get more political than that?

Some kind of way you just had to say that Reverend was hateful of White people. And you have threatened to go to another blog.

Reverend doesn't hate White people but he does hate the evil devils that some Whites and Blacks can be. And about leaving the blog, you keep bringing your sick behind back, Bye and don't come back. I guarantee you any sane person who blogs with you will tell you the same thing the Reverend and I have been telling you. I need to come to your new blog and see what they say when you give those scatter brain pseudo religious confused points.

Jayson, Jayson

What can we say. Barack Obama has sophomoric ideas. Well what did Bush have, kindergarten ideas. You try to degrade Barack because of his Illinois connections but what about the Republican good and decent Senators: Cong Foley, Rev Ted Haggard, Sen Ensign, the Sen in South Carolina who went to Argentina, and so many corrupt conservatives. You have to understand, the American people voted for Barack Obama. Your side lost. We held our noses and our asses when Bush messed up America, now you suck it up and wait until Obama is defeated or finishes his 8 years.

You are so supportive of McChrystal and the war in Afghanistan; but why aren't you over there fighting. You conservatives want others to die in those stupid wars while you write on blogs as they die for your behind. Bush didn't send one of his daughters and neither did Cheney [who has a lesbian daughter who should have made a good soldier]. As a matter of fact, neither Bush nor Cheney fought in a war.

Both Dawn and Jayson need to move on to the new blog. You have run out of distortions and confused ideas on this one. Good bye and don't come back.

Dawn,

You are so self righteous. You accused me of using certain passages from the Bible and ignoring others. What are you doing?? You don't want to deal with what you do to the least of these you do to me. Why? My house, my car, my clothes, my life, this blog, my life are all a part of my ministry. Ministry is a way of life. You don't want to admit that you are showing a lack of compassion. You are still trying to modify my thinking. That is not the lesson from the good Samaritan. Why are you ignoring some part of the Bible and trying to uplift others? You would do that which you accuse others of doing, would you? If you do then you show yourself to be a hypocrite. Helping the least of these is not about helping the person in need if they will think like the person who is in a position to help. Go read the story of the good Samaritan. You want me to ask for charity. I am not asking for charity. I am asking for support of this ministry. I am asking. You want me to beg. It tickles me. You want to steal a Christian man's dignity. Your stipulation is not of the will of God. Jesus taught genuine giving. Giving because you can. Giving because you see a need that you can eradicate. Giving because if you don't then you have done to Jesus what you are doing to me. Your theology is off base. I say again. If what I am doing is not within the will of God then I will perish. Are you willing to say and mean the same thing. If your holding resources from the least of these is of God are you willing to acknowledge that if it is not that you will burn in HELL!! Do you really belive that? Dawn you better quit playing with God. God is not a play thing. I truly believe that if what I am doing is within the will of God then God has not ordained me with out the provisions to sustain me. Where those provisions will come from I don't know. But I know they are coming. I really think that God eventually will use you to make God's will exist on earth as it does in heaven. Oh what a glorious day that will be!! I know my heart. God knows my heart. You, at best, speculate what's in my heart. You wish that I was an agent of Beezlebub. That is why you are rejecting that which you know to be true. You try to make what's in my heart be what is in your heart. Dawn, your stinginess is not of God!! Your greed is not of God. Hoarding your wealth will not insure your eternal health. I am speaking prophetically to you. YOU BETTER QUIT PLAYING WITH GOD!!

I wondered when someone was going to bring up Light Of The World. You stepped right in. Look at how God is using you even in your anti Christ position. Thank you Father. The people at Light Of The World are some of the lovingest people in the world. The light truly shines bright at the Light. You would not even begin to question their love if you knew how much they help me. They know me and what is in my heart. At one time they also had questions. Close encounters has exposed to them who I am. Your questioning of me really highlights your issue. You want to know that which you know not. It's like you want to play the Supreme God. You want to act like you know just because you live. You are a god, but you are not the God. You don't know everything. You are finite. God is infinite. You don't know what God knows. John is telling you something. You better listen. You are displaying why it is so hard for a rich person to get into heaven. Your god has become your wealth. Worship on my sister. Your wealth is a false god. You are trying to use it to control. It won't work. One day you will have to account. Yes, one day you will have to account. I pray for mercy on your soul.

Likewise I pray for President Obama. He cannot play politics with the will of God. God is truly calling him to be the agent to bring peace to the world. He better not play with God. God gives us the power to choose. Free will is our God given choice. However, our choices will be judged. Not by man, or you Dawn, but by God. The President, too will have to account. His nay better be nay, and his yea better be yea. Dawn, WAKE UP!! Quit playing with God. Playing with God is not healthy for eternal life. The public option won't be enough. Oh that's right. You are wealthy. You don't need the public option. The public option is for the least of these. And Dawn you have the nerve to oppose healthcare for those who need it the most. Girl, WAKE UP!! Father please help her and the President to see your will is not to hurt the least of these whether they be in Afghanistan or Indianapolis. Father make it clear that your will is to help the least of these. More American troops in Afghanistan will not help the least of these in Afghanistan. Building a greater killing machine is not justification for being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. If the President and Dawn do your will Father then you will give them both eternal life. Help them to see. Please Father. help them to see. God bless.

John,
You must have smoked a whole bunch of fresh crack cocaine tonight. Again, you demonstrate your ignorance and your hypocrisy.

How many of members of our Armed Forces personally decided to join their respective branch???? 100% !!! We have a volunteer Army, Navy and Air force and National Guard.

Barak Obama promised transparency- what a joke that is. He lied.

He has surrounded himself with lobbyists and liberal special interest groups. He lied.

I guess you forgot about:
Mel Reynolds- Democrat, Child Pornography
Elliot Spitzer, caught banging prostitutes
Bill Clinton- getting blown in Oval office,
Carol Mosely Braun- stealing Medicaid money
Roland Burris- idiot
Ron Blago- freak
John Marshall- Going to buffet line 3 times at the holiday banquet for the poor and homeless. Because of John Marshall not enough food was left for homeless and starving kids.
Marion Barry- coke head.
Al Sharpton- Race card player, liar
Jesse JAckson- Race card Player Liar
John MArshall- race card player, liar.
Mmoja Ajabu- ?
ACORN- corruption laden sewer

Obama can go to talk to Akmendijad, but can't sit down to talk about helping our troops??? Really?

Obama has time to schedule Earth Wind and Fire for dinner but can't help our troops?

Obama has time to schlep for the Chicago Olympics, but can't help our troops?

Obama can go to 22 fundraisers but not sit down to help our troops?

Obama can sit down to talk to David Letterman but cant sit down to help our troops?

Obama can play gold but doesnt have time to help our troops?

Obama, supposedly an American President- Flew to Copenhagen to stump for the Olympics????? Are you kidding me???

Obama can hold a lavish dinner and enjoy $100 per lb steaks to celebrate the trillion dollar spending binge that will saddle our chhildren for generations--- where's the "shared sacrifice Obama"??-- and you can't talk about the help our troops need??

Obama does nothing, and has accomplished nothing.

Obama is weak-kneed.

Obama is "playing President"- as he obviously can't make "presidential" decisions. Maybe he just doesnt have the natural brain capacity to multi-task.

This guy is fun to watch, and it's even more fun to hear your excuses for his ineptitude.

The troops that are in Iraq and Afghanistan have been sent there because of George Bush and Dick Cheney's lies. It is one thing to sit down and talk with the troops and it is another thing to get them killed for nothing.

Your great president Bush made a decision to get those men and women killed. He even had them paying for some of their medical care when they came back from battle.

Many of their marriages are broken and children are caught in the middle.

Many of them are brain damaged.

What President Obama is doing is trying not to get more innocent soldiers killed in a war that no country has ever won. Some of the top U.S. Generals have said it will be another Viet Nam.

It is so easy for you to make a decision because you are not in harms way, you are safe, and wasting time criticizing a brilliant and thoughtful President. If Bush had a brain, he never would have bogged our country down in such a costly war [Lives and money].

What do you care! You just want to bash your president. We had to stomach Bush, now you have to throw up about Barack.

You are so jealous of his movie star looks, Harvard trained constitutional attorney. An equally brilliant attorney wife and two precious daughters. Don't hate on the brother.

George Bush, a recovering alcoholic and drug user. The dumbest president ever sat in that seat. He couldn't think and govern, he had to use Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, and Donald Rumsfeld's brains. Barack has his cabinet and advisors but he is a sharp brilliant thinker. He didn't have to rely on the family name like poor George did to make it to the White House. How can you begin to talk about our president when Bush is the most disgusting and ignorant drunk you could ever see.

The whole world was so glad to see him go and take his conservative idiots with him. That is why Obama was given the prestigious Nobel Prize. Don't you get it? Everybody knew Bush was a sick drunk cookie but you and those conservative losers.

I understand the Texas governor wants to secede from the United States, why don't you join them and become an illegal alien down near the Mexico border. Since you hate your new president so muchn get the hell out of here.
I know it must be eating at your gut to see that suave and debonaire Black man as your commander in chief. I love it.Keep hating on him because that's all you can do.

I don't know if the Republicans can come back because we have about 50 million Americans who voted for McCain and Palin. Anything can happen when there are that many self destructive haters in this country. I know you voted to have Sarah Palin one heart beat away from the presidency. Didn't you? I guess that was an intelligent move on your part.
You would take dumb ass McCain and silly Sarah over Barack and Biden. May God have mercy on your soul, there is no hope for you if you did that. Sarah Palin for anything is sick.

Your boy,

john

Jayson,

What is this question mark in your above post by my name? You know who I am. And you know who you are. You can't hide. You make the accusation that Barack is too busy to help the troops. You and John both need to temper the way you are interacting but the point John is telling you is right. President Obama is taking the time to intimately discern what is the best move in Iraq. I pray that God reveals the step toward world peace. American troop strength in Afghanistan must be de-escalated. It is obvious that the President did not serve in the military. It even appears that you also did not serve. As a Viet Nam vet I am very familiar with war. Any soldier will tell you that they hate war. The understand that the best war is the one not fought. Soldiers on the ground want to come out of Afghanistan. The suicide rate among soldiers in these wars are the highest than in any other war fought by America. McChrystal knows what I am saying to be true. Dawn, there's that true word again. I am waiting to hear from you. The Donate button is to the right on this page. Don't let your wealth steal your eternal health. Jayson, back to you. John is right. No country has won a war against Afghanistan. That war's solution is in diplomacy. The military cannot win that war. McChrystal knows what I am telling you to be true. Humph, there's that true word again. McChrystal is not a good commander nor a good soldier. A good soldier would never publicly criticize the commander in chief. To criticize the Commander is an act of insubordination. If McChrystal wants to criticize the Commander then he should get out of the military. As a civiian criticism of the President is fair. As a soldier, criticism of the President is insubordination. You know who I am, and you know who you are. Support this ministry, it is what God would have you to do. God bless.

I promise to tone down the sharp edges and try to remain civil with Jayson and Dawn. I just want to let them know that I served during the Viet Nam era too. We did something that Cheney and Bush didn't do. Imagine rushing to war and getting that many young men and women killed and they did not go to any war zone themselves.

They didn't even send their children to fight. What can you say, stinking cowards. The first to send somebody else to shed blood while he sit his drunk dopey ass safely at home.

Barack didn't serve either but he is at least thinking things through before shedding the innocent blood of American troops.

But these are your heroes Jayson. I can speak boldly about my political positions and my convictions because I pay a lot of taxes and I fought for this country. I refuse to accept the racist anti Black Confederate Conservatives who really hate America. I never thought I would say to people like that, including Jayson, "America: Love it or leave it"

I am a Black Soldier who fought for this nation just like the Blacks who fought in all of America's wars. These racists confederates don't care if we died for our country, all they want is to pretend that they are superior and to separate from people of color.

What are y'all afraid of. The poor Native Americans had to wonder why would the pale face humans behave so inhumanely. So did many innocent Black people couldn't believe that some Whites are so deadly and cruel to Blacks just because they are Black.
The Asians got a taste of their brutality when they were thrown into concentration camps after WWII.

What a track record! But your time is running out. The party is over. God has had enough of his people suffering at the bloody hands of racist, ruthless, Confederate Conservatives in America.

Good by losers,

john

John-boy,
You don't fool me, you hate America, you love it when Rev. Wright says "God Damn America".
You race bait, whine about whitey stackin' the deck against you when you stack it yourself-- God that's so boring.,....If your so disappointed with this country why don't you pick up and move to one where there are more black people so you don't have to be so pissed off all the time. In America Black, Whiney and Fat is 3 strikes against you isn't it John?
You're a pathetic excuse for an American.

JaySon

I have a Black president, I have Hillary and Bill, I have a Democrat dominated Congress, I have Democratic Mayors and Governors, I am about to get a healthcare bill with a public option.
No we are going to get Medicare Part E, the E stands for Everyone. Don't you love it.That is easier to understand than the term public option.

We have Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, Liberals, and Independent Progressives in the majority.

So why should I leave America when everything is going my way. I love my country and I am so happy that the conservative Confederate Southern haters are losing control daily.

You can't put words in my mouth. I agree with Rev Wright, God Damn America if there are injustices and racists trying to act like God made them superior to other races. We want God to damn that type of behavior.

Other than that, I love to see Barack and Michelle and the girls. I love to see the liberal cabinet and his team of rivals.
I love the fact that Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid and Michael Moore, and Joe Biden, and Howard Dean are all behind our president.

Finally, the whole world loves America, now that an intelligent president is in the White House. A president who has made America the envy of the world. Don't you think that is why they gave him a Nobel Peace Prize so early in his administration. They love him so much, they couldn't wait.

Why should I leave this great land of freedom and opportunity when things are going my way. Are you crazy, leave all this.

You are the one who is sick to your stomach when you see Barack and the liberals having control of it all.

You must not want to be an illegal alien on the other side of the wall. Go ahead, leave and free yourself of this living hell. They love to hate America down in Texas, go join those idiots. When you cross the border, you will not see another Black person down there, just Mexicans. Don't tell me you hate Mexicans too.

Good night Jayson, I know you will have nightmares thinking about Black Barack as your commander in chief.

Jayson,

You and John are having a spirited discussion. As I have asked John to not personally attack Dawn, and vice versa, I am respectfully asking you not to use personal attacks. Disagreement is healthy and fair. I pray that we can disagree and not be disagreeable. That being said:I don't either one of you want to leave this country. I think both in your own way want to make it better. Spirited discussion is the right method to seek a better America. I hope the President learns from your example. Talking, or diplomacy holds the solution in Afghanistan, not the military.

Y'all missed a wonderful sevice at Light Of The World yesterday. We have brought on a young man name Pastor Michael Drane and I am here to tell you that the young man is on FIRE for the Lord. He spoke about how Joseph went through trials and tribulations as a way for God to take him from the least of these to be one of the most powerful of these. His message line was "But God." If God didn't see you too the troubles, hardaches and pains, then God would not have been able to see you through. Man, what a message!! Pray that the Presidnet is a maker of peace. Pray that healthcare in America will be available for all. Pray that we increase the love and decrease the hate. You both, and Dawn, you too, have a blessed and wonderful day. God bless.

John-
I actually am enjoying watching this train-wreck, but it will be over soon.

What's hilarious, is the liar Obama can't even tell the truth about what he wants to do, in PLAIN LANGUAGE.
Hmmm....I won't sign a bill, that adds a penny to the deficit....John, you don't don't have the smarts to even understand the lie that one is...

John, you've been sucka'd, again, by your own black brother... and I am laughing, as again the jokes on you....and once again you don't even know it.
:)

Jayson

I am sure you know whatever that is you are talking about. You do a lot of rambling when you blog.I will not waste anymore time debating because it is like debating by myself. You do not respond to the points that I have made; so I can see the problem now.
Jayson, we will wait on the second train wreck because your president Bush had a hell of a 1st train wreck. It cost you conservatives the White House and the Congress.

It is one thing to hope for a train wreck but its another thing when we witnessed the train wreck during the last eight years of Republicans led by Bush.

I notice you don't even acknowledge the train wreck of Bush and the Republican conservatives who followed him all the way to the collision.

You only talk about Obama, a president who has only been in office 9 months. Why can't you say something about how we got to this first train wreck. Do you realize how much you are in denial of the Bush horrors.

You cannot pretend that our problems now and in the future are all Obama's fault, the people on this blog are watching you and they are waiting for you to say something about George Bush. I know you can't because he did not do one good thing that you can talk about.

And you have the audacity to mention Barack's name. The country was screaming for Barack to save us as the country was going through an economic meltdown. Bush was paralyzed with ignorance and helplessness. Then superman Barack was inaugurated and 9 months later: stock market at 10,000, housing is stabilizing, we are losing 250,000 jobs a month as compared to 600,000 jobs a month under Bush, and we are going to have our first healthcare bill. What a president.

You accuse me of being suckered by Barack but you refuse to admit how much you and your Republican Conservative Confederate haters were super suckered by dumb ass Bush.

your boy John

The Process of Forgiving
MATTHEW 6:9-15

Forgiving those who have seriously hurt us is one of our most challenging "assignments." And merely having a desire to obey God or saying the right words does not necessarily accomplish the task. Old memories and pain can steal back into the mind, stirring up emotions of anger and injustice.

Though we have a responsibility to take the initiative soon after suffering harm, forgiveness for deep hurts is a process. Begin immediately to prevent a root of bitterness from developing. But remember: The deeper the hurt, the more time it will take to work through forgiveness. Never become discouraged—the Lord will walk with you each step of the way.

Confession to God is the beginning of the process. Come before Him, admitting any resentment and acknowledging it as sin. As you lay your anger and hurt before the Lord, let Him begin to heal your broken heart.

Sometimes the process can also involve going to the offender and confessing your sinful attitude toward him. This is a time not to build your case or itemize his wrongs but simply to admit your own. Although the offense against you may seem greater than your unforgiving attitude, avoid the temptation to "rank" sins. And leave judgment to God.

Forgiveness brings freedom from the agitation that accompanies resentment. In working through the process, you'll begin to see the one who hurt you through eyes of compassion. Eventually, you will be able to thank God for the opportunity to learn forgiveness and live in His lavish grace.

Dawn, Dawn,

What kind of post is that without context? Say what you are saying. Then we will know what you said. Put you in that post. Where are you? You seem confused. There is nothing more satisfying than genuinely helping the least of these. Until you accept the true Christian part of your conservative bent you will always struggle in life. This is why some of the wealthiess are some of the saddest people. Wealth does not insure mental health. I truly pray for you. Support this ministry. God bless.

When this becomes a ministry, it will be supported. God provides.

Scripture speaks for itself.
By your fruits you will be known, Reverend.
This board is not based in the Word of Jesus Christ. You do not LEAD it in that way. Look at the past many months of garbage spewed here.
I do not want to be part of this in any way. Not as it is.

Do not believe that because I do not support YOUR cause that I am not supporting other worthy ministries. I support lots of ministries.

You have a lot of work to do in the area of forgiveness before you can lead a successful ministry of reconciliation.

Good Luck. I'm praying for you.

I do suggest that you subscribe to Dr. Charles Stanley's daily devotional. It is always very much founded in the Word of Christ. Several of my LOTW friends subscribe.

October 23, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterConservative Christian

Dawn

I wonder why you do not want to be a part of this ministry. Is it because you don't hear what you want to hear. Are you having a problem dealing with those who challenge your ideas.

I try not to go too far with my beliefs when it comes to religion but lets face it, there are so many opinions currently and back in the days when Christ was on the earth. Why get so bent out of shape when someone disagrees with your interpretation of the Word. I just love the way Christ dealt with the Scribes and the Pharisees. Our Lord was cool and calm. That's what we see in Barack Obama, a cool and calm president who is hardly ever ruffled in the face of criticism.

Just because you declare that Rev Ajabu's ministry is not a ministry does not mean that you are correct. You cannot continue to be so absolute in your thinking as if what you propose is it and nothing else.

As much as I like Charles Stanley, I don't agree with him all of the time. We can all agree that Charles Stanley can teach the Word. But for you to slam dunk a ministry because it doesn't comport with your beliefs is immature at best. I would never declare that Charles Stanley doesn't have a ministry just because I have never seen him challenging the level of racism all around him, the level of poverty in his community, crime, disease and death. I just assume that he will preach about it but there is no activism on his part. I still agree that he has a ministry but I just wonder what has he done outside of that pulpit. But it is still the Charles Stanley Ministry.

Who would have ever thought that one of the thieves on the cross would have been invited to be with Christ that day in Paradise. You cannot judge people by their words or their deeds like Christ can. The thief was saved because Christ saw his heart, what will Christ see in your heart or in Rev Ajabu's heart?

Can you truly answer Christ about the 45,000 human beings who die in the richest country every year because they don't have insurance. How would He see your heart, would He be concerned,as you have been, about a doctor shortage, the collapse of the health care system or would he want you to save those lives first and worry about the heathcare industry later?

Please, if you don't do anything else, please disconnect the two words, "Christian and Conservative." Think about it, there are no perfect ministries and there is always room for criticism but don't condemn the ministry because of a point of disagreement. Just move on, do not support what you don't believe, but please don't declare that the ministry is non existent.

Dawn, you are missing the point of this blog. Do you have any idea the number of people who listen to our debates and come to some conclusion that Rev Ajabu, you, and I have valid points at times. They may never submit a statement but they are reading what we debate. This is a ministry and I support it without any reservation.

One good friend of mine who reads this blog regiously told me that the Rev and I need to leave that woman alone, meaning you. He has never written a word on this blog.
It is a ministry that has some pretty good debate points about religion and politics. You must not blow up and draw conclusions so fast because you are not all that. Be cool like Christ. I love debates and I am not as cool as I need to be either because I am very passionate about my beliefs, especially the political ones.

John,

You are right on the money. Dawn seems to have appointed herself as the arbitrator of who knows Christ and who doesn't. That would put her equal with Christ which is the only sin that is not forgivable. Her lack of support for this ministry will be hers to answer. She must be of little faith. I have said, and I will say again, if I am not right in the sight of God because of this ministry then I will perish in Hell. My faith and knowing my heart I am not afraid to make such a statement. I have challenged her and still challenge her to show her faith. If her lack of support is the theology of what God will have her to do then she should have no problem showing her faith in that theology to the degree that I show my faith in mine. She is afraid to show her faith to that extent. She knows that if she is a follower of Jesus that she is supposed to help the least of these. Jesus said very clearly that what you do to the least of these you have done unto me. Her behavior does not line up with Jesus' teachings. Don't direct me to Dr. Stanley Dawn! Stanley is not Jesus. Deal with what Jesus said. You show yourself to be of little faith. I pray for your soul. God have mercy on her. Please, have mercy on her. God bless.
